Comfort and Value
I typically do not do reviews for items but thought this was worthy of the effort. I purchased this helmet a week ago as an upgrade/replacement to one that is 5-years old and showing its age. I ride a Honda NC700 DCT with a full windscreen and am a freak about wind noise, my interest in this helmet is primarily listening to music via iPhone blue tooth and comfort. I have not tested phone call reception or intercom functions yet (I ride solo so will not likely use this function). First thing I noticed was the comfort of the helmet, as others had suggested, I opted for one size larger (XL) than my typical helmet size (L) and it fits perfectly. I have to say that I didn't even notice in the product description of the chin strap, it is padded and uses a push-ratchet sort of mechanism that is comfortable and easy on and off, no messing with the double DD rings or the after market quick release items. Overall the fit and finish of the helmet is great, all of the vents work well and the internal sun visor gives you a positive click when the visor goes up or down, and it is easily found and operated with gloves on. Operation of the blue tooth device was simple, pairing with my iPhone was easy, and I found the operation of the volume control was very straight forward with the wheel mechanism. I was using a Sena unit prior to this one and found it difficult while using gloves to find the right place to push for various functions, this helmet does not suffer those issues. Wind noise, I ride behind a windscreen so I don't know what the wind noise is like other than to say that I can clearly hear my music through the helmet speakers with the face shield in the fully open position at speeds of 60mph. Sound quality, on par with Sena, as with most helmet speaks the bass sound is lost and you get a lot of treble and this is the same for this helmet. I did not drop my rating since the price point for this helmet is nowhere near the high end, if I want high end sound I can re-wire higher end speakers for $50 - $100 dollars and still be better off than paying $400+ for the high end products. One of the reasons I needed to upgrade my helmet is that the visor in the old helmet is no longer in production. So a concern I had was whether this helmet has replacement visors, so I contacted them with that concern. They replied quickly and indicated that they do have replacement visors and that a recent customs issue created a short term supply problem that has been resolved. There seem to be only a few products currently out there that offer the functionality of this helmet around the $200 price range, so do your research but I'm happy with my decision for now.

Love it
I received this helmet last Monday, 1/13/20 and had it on the road trying it out the next day. After topping off the charge it took all of about a minute to pair it with my Garmin Zumo 550. I did not pair it with a phone as I never use a phone while I'm on the go. I'll check for and make calls at rest breaks. All the other tech functions worked as advertised, including the FM radio. Pro's - the modular "pop open" feature is really nice for getting the helmet on and off or for simply taking a drink without removing the helmet - the internal smoked visor is great as it can be pulled down when I turn into the sun and retracted when I get into a shaded area - I love the chin insert that keeps cold air from trickling up around my neck and with the built in neck wrap in my riding jacket, they keep drafts out of the helmet. However, I ride with a full windshield so I don't know if direct air stream will intrude around it. - I kept all the vents open the day I rode with the helmet on but as with most full coverage helmets I presume this one could tend to fog up. In that event it would be easy to pop up the outside clear visor to clear it up. Again I ride with a windshield so riding with this visor up is not a big deal for me - it took a minute or two to get used to the chin strap hook up but in the end it's a lot easier to fasten/unfasten with heavy winter gloves on than the old "loop the strap through the rings" method - the sizing was spot on for me. I measure for a medium, ordered a medium and it fits well, even for me who far prefers half helmets. But if you get it wrong the padding inserts provide the sizing, not the helmet. The vendor apparently is willing to provide free replacements to get it right. Cons - the lowering/raising of the internal smoked visor is pretty stiff when trying to operate it while riding with the lever on the left side of the helmet. I attribute that to newness and it's easy to open the clear visor and push the smoked visor up if need be - the speakers are very tinny with zero bass. I won't bother playing music off my Garmin with them. Their quality is far behind the speakers in my 15 year old Interphone F4 that I use in my half helmet. I've communicated with the vendor and they assure me they are looking at improvements, both hardware and software - the volume controls are tied into the FM radio controls with a rotary knob. The basic operation of these two functions is relatively simple but can be frustrating to deal with at 120kph in traffic. Hold the knob too long while trying to turn down the volume and you activate the FM radio. I would prefer the more common method of individual buttons for up/down volume controls. All in all I think this helmet provides excellent value for the cost. It'll make my cold weather riding much more pleasant. And since I don't buy helmets for their entertainment features I won't downgrade it for the cons I listed. Note: I haven't tried pairing it with other helmets yet as I don't often ride in groups. If I do I'll update this review with the results.

Customer service makes it work
The few shops within an hour of where I live had very limited helmet stock, and none fit, so I was forced to go online to purchase a helmet. Not good, when fit is so very important. This helmet is overpriced for what it is, but the willingness of the seller to send different liners to help get the fit just right made the difference. It arrived pretty quickly, and after trying it on I contacted the seller to say I needed more padding in the crown of the helmet and less in the sides. They quickly sent me two different sized liners that allowed me to customize the fit. The gloves and goggles that were included with the helmet are alright; the gloves are protective and have lots of vents for hot weather riding, and while they fit on the hands, the wrist closure is too tight and I have to leave it open. Not a big deal. I don't wear goggles for riding, but they'll get use this winter for running the snowblower and I needed a new pair for that, so that worked out. The on board speaker/mic system isn't fantastic, but it was easy to connect it with my phone and it's adequate. I didn't like the giant FreedConn logo on the back of the helmet, but I covered it with a strip of reflective tape. I also really hate the "speed closure" thing on the chin strap, it never lines up just right without fussing with it and it's awkward to find the little ribbon to open it. I'd much prefer the old D ring style. Pros: Quick seller response and additional liners for proper fit. Drop down sun visor. Faceshield is clear and doesn't cause blurriness. Using both the sun visor and the faceshield at the same time, vision is still clear without optical distortions. Pairs to phone easily. Speakers adequate for a bit of background music. Callers can hear what I'm saying even when going down the road at 55. (I haven't attempted to make any calls when riding, so not sure how smooth that process is.) Not too heavy, I don't feel neck strain even after a longer ride. A usable, comfortable helmet that arrived quickly when I couldn't buy anything locally. Cons: Only DOT rated, which is rather meaningless. Not sure how the helmet will perform if I should happen to have an accident. Drop down sun visor isn't dark enough, I'm going to have to add some window tint to it or something. Speakers are tinny and won't satisfy someone who is in to really zoning out to detailed music while riding. Very annoying connection on chin strap. Phone connection doesn't give you an option for refusing calls. So unless I pull over, dig the phone out my pocket, and look to see who is calling, I'm at the mercy of any fool telemarketer bugging me during my ride. Overall, a comfortable, usable helmet that got me through my first season of riding again after 30 years. Paid too much, but saved me from trying to drive two hours to a bigger city in the hopes of finding a helmet at a shop somewhere. So probably made up for it in gas money. 4 stars.

Freedconn BM2-S Bluetooth helmet with flip down visor.
Just got 2 of these helmets, one for my wife and one for myself. This is our first helmets with a intercom system, which we bought for our new/used Goldwing. We have not yet used these helmets on the open road at the time of this review because there is still snow on the ground up here in the great white north. :( Right out of the box I was impressed! The helmets have a space age vibe that is really pleasing to the eyes. The high gloss black is so clean and shinny, what a great job they did. The clear visor is easy to open and close, while the sun visor is so awesome with its wrap around protection from the sun, which should work great on the road. The sun visor raises and closes with a side slide that works easily with a quick flip. I did play with the visor some and if the visor or modular unit is up, you can also easily push the visor up with your hand without resistance locking it in the up position. The front face of the Modular helmet opens easily by pressing on the button located on the inside of the chin section of the helmet. The face of the helmet locks into the upright position which should work great when operation our bike with the helmet in the half shell position. The face can be lowered with little effort and locks in the closed position (although it does take a little effort to lock it closed). The size of the helmet runs on size smaller than labeled. When at the motorcycle shop I took a Large and my wife a small when we tried the modular helmets there. Based on the size chart for these helmets, I took a XL and my wife a Med. When we put on the helmets they fix just right, and if you use the chin straps to pull the helmet open a little while putting it on you don't even have to take your glasses off. I found this a plus, although my ears did fold a little, but that is not a problem. The view through the visor is nice and wide giving ample view of my surroundings. Now for the Bluetooth system: The Bluetooth system is easy to charge with the cord supplied by just plugging it into your computer or a USB wall plug in (not provided). It was very easy to follow the directions to connect to both my phone and helmet to helmet. The sound from the speakers inside the helmet were very clear and nice, while the mic built into the left side of the helmet picked up my voice easily. Switching between the helmet to helmet com, music and voice phone isn't hard, but will take some getting use to. The ONLY negative thing I can find in the whole helmet is the "Ding" sound that comes through it when changing between the different com processes. It is loud, even with the volume turned down. I haven't found a way to control it yet, and will continue to find an answer to this issue.

It's okay for money.
Update: 6/14/19 The company sent me out a new battery free of charge. Great company to work with. Thank you. Update: 6/5/19 I really enjoy the helmet but the battery connection where you plug it in broke off inside the sealed battery holder . You can hear it raddle around as you shake it. I really hope the company sends me a new battery. It's kinda loud but then again modular helmets usually are. The other thing I kinda don't like is the chin strap. It has a red clip that connects like a zip tie. I wish it had the old style chin strap and I really hope it stays on if I go down in a crash. The sound is really good when playing music.and the sunglasses works good so far. The face shield fogs up really bad.

EXCELLENT value product, and equally great customer service
I usually don't write long reviews, but this one will be a little lengthy. I really can't say enough good things about this helmet. It arrived well packaged and in good working order, with a fully charged battery. Everything on it functions precisely as advertised. I haven't had a chance to use the intercom function yet, but I will be purchasing a second helmet for my pillion because I am confident it will work well. Phone calls are perfectly doable, I've had them doing 60 mph and had zero issue hearing or being heard. The audio quality when listening to music is not high end stereo quality, but is fine , plenty loud enough, and above what I ever would have expected at this price point. Some people have stated that the sun screen is a little blurry to look through, it has a clear protective cover when shipped and it's perfectly clear when you remove it. The chin bar is easy to release and lift on the fly, and locks positively when pushed down. Wind noise with the helmet is perfectly tolerable, especially for a modular helmet design as opposed to a true full face. The helmet is well ventilated. The visor is easy to lift and lower and seals off quite well. It is not too heavy, and is quite comfortable to wear. I searched for months and you absoulutely will not find a helmet with a better value than this one. Anything comparable to the features and quality of this helmet is going to cost you over 800 dollars, and you really reach a state of dimminishing returns for your money at that point. There is literally nothing I don't like about this helmet. On top of receiving a good product, the customer service I have received from the seller had been excellent. I took the advice of many other reviewers and ordered a size up from what I normally wear, only to find that the helmet was too large. I posted a question on amazon asking if there was a place I could purchase a smaller liner to put into the helmet, and within fifteen minutes the seller answered with the message "please contact us as soon as possible." I did, and within minutes they responded again offered to send me a smaller liner for the helmet free of charge! Seriously, that kind of service alone is worth giving these folks my business. Coupled with the fact that it is a genuinely good product for a more than reasonable price, I would HIGHLY recommend this helmet. I will be buying another very soon, and probably one of their stand alone intercom to loan to friends I ride with so we can communicate.

Excellent helmet
Everything works very well with this helmet, the seller replies and ships you another one if you ordered the wrong size. The Bluetooth is easy to pair with the included manual, the speaker quality is okay but for a motorcycle helmet I wasn't expecting anything fancy. My only complaint is the use of micro usb to recharge the battery instead of USB C otherwise great product. The shaded visor comes out easily, its well ventilated and does not allow a single drop of rain in the helmet.

I would buy this again
So far I love this helmet. Customer service is amazing. It was too small when I ordered it so I contacted the seller, who sent a different size liner the next day. Received it about 4 days later. Fits perfectly. The sound quality is what I expected. It is good but no real bass to it which wasn’t a surprise. I love how the front flips up. Seems to be good quality. I would definitely order again for this price.
