After my Cpu blew up, my hard drive containing valuable family pictures needed rescue. This was a great purchase for the money. Quick and easy setup allowed my to transfer files to my laptop and retrieve pics. Great product and handy to have if you have different hardware drives/ peripherals

product works ok, but the power plug is only 1ft long, so you have to sit on the floor next to a plug in order to use it. THink they could spend the 5 cents and make it long enough to reach a table.
