AJIN: DEMI-HUMAN: SEASON 2

Good anime but....
Good anime, the only thing that irritated me is that it said movie 1 and 2 included, so I thought it was a movie I hadn't seen before. But all it is the the T.V shows but just compress in to a movie format style. So it a little miss leading with what the cover said about the movie. But all in all still good anime

Movie extras are a little misleading.
Love the anime and the villain Sato and was hoping the movies would add more to the series but the movies are just scenes from the same series recut so you don’t need to watch the opening and ending credits I guess.

If you like cat-and-mouse psychological thrillers
This series was outstanding. If you like cat-and-mouse psychological thrillers, like Death Note--there is a very strong chance you will like this too.Sato is a superb villain, and steals the show, in my opinion. Many of the characters are quite unlikeable, if you compared their personalities and the virtues they extol in the series to real-life equivalents, but they all server a distinct and necessary purpose to the development of the story.Sato is like the pioneer, as far as what is divulged through within the bounds of this anime series, so he has mastered the ins-and-outs of the so-called Ajins, conditionally-immortal beings. I phrase their immortality as being conditional because it is--there are ways to terminate the existence of the ajins and I'll leave it at that. But bringing the discussion back to Sato, he's the one who's had the most time logged with knowledge of his immortality and therefore has experimented the most with the bounds of said immortality. So he basically games the system and knows all the hacks to get around some of the shortcomings which makes him a formidable adversary. Unfortunately, most of the series focuses on the intellectual adversity between the protagonists and antagonists, which is really a moral gray area since the antagonists just want their freedom in a society that treats any group or hominid species different. Think about a co-existence with neanderthal man in today, for example. So that's the primary struggle of the antagonists, but they often exercise very extreme acts against the establishment--think any real-world extremist group. And that's where the protagonists come in--they want the same thing as the antagonists but aren't willing to compromise diplomatic means of obtaining the same ends. That's the ideological divide there and the antagonist leader Sato is very much of the mentality that if you're not for him--you're against him and he's as crafty as they come which makes the whole thrill ride all the more thrilling. Some of the scenes are done expertly and the lore, which is a first for me--maybe have borrowed influences from indo-culture's D'jin mythos, but as far as I know--the ajin concept is pretty novel to anime as far as being treated like a mutation of ordinary humanity. Like, there are some ajins who don't know they are ajins until they survive what would ordinarily be a fatal injury. But they build on the concept and try to portray it in very realistic and credible ways, if you suspend your disbelief of mortality being the universal mode of existence for organisms. There are people who criticize it but I can't bother to give much credibility to the critics. As far as anime goes--this is definitely top-shelf. It's smartly written and the characters serve their roles well in the grand scheme--fitting character attributes and personalities comes to mind. Fitting--not necessarily likeable. You gotta watch it--it's a treat.I think maybe people who can't appreciate subterfuge and the art of unconventional and-or psychological warfare might not appreciate it. But I could. Oh by the way, Sato (is an abbreviation--they were very crafty about how they derived it too and I won't ruin it for you but pay attention or you might miss it) was a former special-operations operator. So he is very well-versed in unconventional warfare. The dude's a beast, man! Smart and deadly. Very fun series. I highly recommend especially if you liked the cat-and-mouse adversarial theme in Death Note between L and Light Yagami.Cheers!I would rank this as must-see anime for true fans, but my tastes have been refined over the years and as such--I demand more from my anime experiences these days. A lot of the crap that is popular now just doesn't cut the mustard for me because they tend to be really hokey, and-or gimmicky. I also can't stand the eternal adolescent syndrome that plagues anime--where all characters are based on teenagers. As an adult, it gets hard to relate to teenage angst and juvenile mentalities or antics. So this is definitely more mature, if that sounds like your cup of tea--buy it or queue it up on Netflix. As far as the netflix animes go, I think this takes 2nd billing after Blame, the rest are passable--some hard--some soft. Like, if you missed the other netflix animes--you could find a comparable substitute and the same could be said about this like Death Note but it's different enough to merit its own watch.

Wow Flood
I love that the series end with the chase for Sato starting back up again. not to that it wasn't a laugh that Sato was treating this all as great big video game. this series was more interesting then I first thought, I really enjoyed it.

Buen producto
