Organic Farming cheap inputs and actually works.
Every item I buy on Amazon, I read 1 to 3 star reviews to get feedback what's bad about the product. There is always 1 or 2 people always have to say something bad about the product lol. When I applied Korean Natural Farming techniques on my gardening, it works excellent! I recommend this book. Only thing I didn't follow is black plastic mulching. I use woodchips and leaves for my mulch.

The book I was needing!
Great information, I have been doing conventional gardening for the past 10 years, when I was reading this book it made me think all the errors I have made since then, I'm following step by step Jadam instructions and it is working nice and with no harsh chemicals at all!

Great book, poor binding
This book is a very informative book, especially as I am a person looking to farm without any chemical inputs. I have started trying the method, and am anxious to see the results. The book was very simple and straightforward. Having read Farmers of Forty Centuries by F.H. King, I understand a little the basis of this method, and how the old ways of farming in China, Japan and Korea were a lot more simple than the organic methods of today. I do have one complaint which is why I gave the book 4 stars. It is the binding. For a book that I had to pay over $50 to purchase, I would expect the binding to be a little more solid. But, I have had it only a few months and already a page is loose. Normally I try to buy used and hardcover books because I hate to waste trees on books that will be garbage in a few years. Not that the content is garbage, just that they won't stay together to last for a few generations. It is a sad commentary on our throw away society. I just wish this book had better binding so I could pass it on to the next generation. It is worth that.

A book Among the Rarest
There is a lot of very helpful books in the world, but only a tiny fraction of a percent of them can actually point to a solution for world wide problems that is also accessible and doable, worldwide, at the grassroots level. The Bible is #1 in this line up. I believe the Concepts described in Jadam’s methods place it somewhere on that line up as well. I disagree with his syncretistic ideas (“good and evil are one”) but heartily agree with the concept that health at all levels is found in diversity: the diversity of ocean derived minerals; the diversity of biology, for example, instead of targeted killing, as has been the concept of Agriculture since the advent of synthetic chemicals and antibiotics. (Targeted killing, pesticides and herbicides, may have a very short and very limited place in certain circumstances, but should only be a temporary step toward balance.) AND that the presence of noxious conditions such overwhelming numbers of certain weeds, bugs, or diseases on crops indicates the absence of the needed diversity in a farming system. Not only does Jadam point out these concepts, but they also point out very affordable and doable solutions to bring back the needed diversity. Some of our neighbors and us are greatly enjoying the implementation of these concepts on our farms.

We are new farmers, and I bought this on the recommendation of a couple successful (and profitable) organic farmers in the USA. We're now inspired to adopt a lot of the methods in this book and make some money growing delicious organic veg!

The Everest of farming book 🤩 The name JADAM is an abbreviation of Jayonul Damun Saramdul (People who like nature). There are many farming methods: Syntropic Farming Permaculture Lean Farming Multi-layer Farming Tropical Agroforestry Systems Fukuoka Natural Farming Holistic Management Permagarden BioIntensive Farming Subhash Palekar Natural Farming Biodynamic None of the above address ways to handle pests and diseases as good as JADAM. Dare to say it's even better than his father book, Master Cho, founder of Korean Natural Farming (Master Cho livestock methods are still the best). JADAM 4 Principles: 1. Do as nature does 2. I and others are one 3. The good and the bad are one 4. Co-existing with wild grass JADAM promotes 4 aims (SESE): 1. Simple - principles are simple 2. Easy - easy to make 3. Scientific - methodology is scientific 4. Effective - the process is highly effective and low-cost Some of the inputs you can make yourself: JMS (JADAM Microbial Solution) - To restore the balance of microbe activity within the soil. JS (JADAM Sulfur) - Sulfur-based germicide. Effective in the treatment of common fungal diseases, including powdery mildew and black spot. JWA (JADAM Wetting Agent) - It increases the coating and penetrative ability of the pesticide solution, enhancing its effectiveness.
