this prodcut is good and helpfull for companies who work in computer assmbly line

it unfortunately does not work properly - lags for long minutes & randomly ejects the drives

I have added this to my Mac mini which runs the home TV/Movie and Music library on Plex. Allows me to use all my old 1TB. 2TB, 4TB 3.5" HDDs as backups for the 20TB drives as 99% of the storage is used for write once read rarely making this form of backup viable. Easy to get up and running, as the drives ar not stacked up on themselves the heat dissipates easily. The speed is fine for offline backups - set the backup off and forget pretty much. Feels solid and and works well with issue for months so far. It worked out the cheapest way to do this without having to keep changing out drives all the time

Bought this for my Mac mini, direct out of the usb-c. Plugged in a 2.5 SSD, didn't detect anything, gently plugged in a 2nd SSD and all the lights go off on the unit. I give it a gentle wiggle to the right, and the lights come back on, plug in a 3rd SSD, all the lights go off again. Plugging in or unplugging driving vest seems to get the unit to power off all drives, maybe the backplane/board is loose. Material feels very lightweight and cheap, wouldn't buy another, sending this one back

Usb cable doesn't work. Can only return for refund and product price has increased by £30. Have to source my own cable. Rubbish qc.

Installazione semplice e immediata, la sede dei dischi con relativi contatti, da un'idea di fragilità.

Da dieses Dock, anders als bei vielen anderen, keinen Lüfter hat, dachte ich, es kann gar nicht laut sein. Aber denkste, das Problem liegt im Plastikgehäuse. Eine interne 18 TB HDD von Seagate, die mit Adapter an den Mac angeschlossen völlig lautlos war, fing in diesen Dock an plötzlich laute Geräusche von sich zu geben, die mehr als störend waren. Der Grund liegt wohl in dem insgesamt nur aus leichtem Plastik gebauten Gehäuse, das nur von einem dünnen Aluminiumrahmen umgeben ist, wo die Hohlräume der anderen Schächte ein richtiges verstärktes Dröhnen von sich gaben. Da ich das Dock auf Zukunft gekauft hatte und bisher nur eine interne HDD hatte, weiß ich nicht, ob sich das abstellt, wenn alle Schächte belegt sind, aber so lange wollte ich jedoch nicht warten und habe es zurückgeschickt. Zusätzlich war die Geschwindigkeit der HDD von 241 auf 217 MB/s beim Schreiben gesunken und das Duplizieren einer 528 GB großen Photos Library dauerte auch deutlich länger.

Avec une vitesse entre 60 et 80 Mo/s, c'est super lent. Il faut plus de 36 heures pour copier un disque à 60 %. La vitesse de clonage n'est stipulée que dans le manuel, et même pas sur la page du produit qui ne parle que de la vitesse de transfert entre le dock et un PC, ce qui est vraiment limite. J'ai toujours privilégié ORICO pour mes docks... Je pense que la prochaine fois, j'irai voir ailleurs. 80 Mb/s... Quelle blague ! Je me demandais même si le clonage était en cours tellement il n'y a aucun bruit et pas vraiment d'indication autre que la totalité des voyants qui clignotent. Alors que ce serait plus logique de les avoir clignotants quand c'est en cours, fixes quand c'est passé et éteints quand on n'y est pas encore.
