I built this LEGO Speed Champions Audi S1 e-tron quattro set with my child over the weekend, and it strikes a great balance between build complexity and play value. For a smaller boxed set, it’s surprisingly detailed. The shaping, printed elements, and proportions really capture the look of the real race car, especially considering the compact scale. The build itself is engaging without being frustrating. Compared to other Speed Champions sets we’ve built (such as standard sports car variants), this model feels slightly more intricate in places, which makes it rewarding for older children but still manageable for confident younger builders with minimal assistance. Once assembled, it’s sturdy enough to handle regular play. The wheels roll smoothly, and pieces stay firmly attached during normal use — something that cheaper off-brand brick sets often struggle with. It also makes a nice display piece thanks to the clean lines and race-inspired styling. For parents, this is a good value option within the LEGO range — it provides a complete experience (build + play + display) without the price of larger Technic sets. My little niece and I love lego! And we have spent ages playing with different models. The Speed Champions sets are fantastic. But all the current models that are in the £15-£20 bracket have been made and displayed for serious racing on the livingroom floor. She is adorable, but a right little cheat and it is not on, I want to win Jelly Babies too. I would love to see more models in the range of some classic Hot Hatches, Fords, Peugeots, Hondas etc. The Audi S1 e-tron quattro Race Car looks amazing, the NASCAR Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Race Car, Pagani Utopia Race Car Toy Model Building Kit, Italian Hypercar, Ford Mustang Dark Horse Sports Car and some Ferrari's. These are fantastic value and a joy to build and play with. However, sadly there are some sets that are extremely expensive. The Speed Champions Chevrolet Corvette C8.R Race Car and 1969 CC Racing Model, Toy Cars are over £60, and the Speed Champions Ford GT Heritage Edition and Bronco is over £100 which is insane, and I personally think unfair for young children who have an interest in cars. Overall the LEGO Speed Champions sets are am amazing introduction for children to get into cars and lego, to understand, colours, instructions, hand-eye coordination, and dexterity. My three-year-old niece is very sensible for her age, more so than I was at that age, and she is very patient. Depending on the child, it is at your discretion whether this set is appropriate with supervision.

My almost 30 year old son claims Lego is an essential part of his Christmas. Since he was a small boy he’s always received Lego as part of his Christmas presents. So he was more than happy with this and says it’s a really cool set to build and nicely detailed. Happy son. Happy mum.

Had all the pieces, and it was relatively straightforward to put together with the tutorial. The mirrors can pop off quite easily when picked up, but overall looks great and I enjoyed the experience.

An amazing set to start my collection. Worth every cent

Ich habe mir den LEGO Speed Champions Audi S1 als Geschenk für mich selbst gekauft, weil ich ein großer Fan von Autos und LEGO bin. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Produkt, denn es ist wie von LEGO gewohnt sehr gut verarbeitet, hat viele Details und ist einfach zusammenzubauen. Das Modell sieht dem Original sehr ähnlich und macht sich gut in meiner Sammlung. Die Lieferung war sehr schnell und das Paket kam unbeschädigt an. Das einzige, was mich ein bisschen stört, sind die vielen Sticker, die man aufkleben muss. Ich hätte mir lieber bedruckte Teile gewünscht, denn die Sticker können sich mit der Zeit ablösen oder schief werden. Aber das ist nur ein kleiner Kritikpunkt, der den Gesamteindruck nicht schmälert. Ich kann den LEGO Speed Champions Audi S1 jedem empfehlen, der Spaß an LEGO und Autos hat. Es ist ein tolles Modell, das sowohl Kinder als auch Erwachsene begeistern wird.
