Both ends of spectrum covered
No stress! When i l"m out over the road for 2 and 3 weeks at a time i dont have to worry about my guitars anymore. I started with the other guys sponge and built in humidity/temp digital display but soon realized there was just a little too much moisture going on where i store my guitars. This product covers both ends of the spectrum. I throw the other one in there sans the sponge to better monitor the humidity. Perfect combo imo. Highly recommend if you have expensive guitars and sit up at night about the wood warping ,shrinking or cracking.

Highly recommended for classical guitars
The D'Addario Guitar Dehumidifier System - Humidipak Absorb Kit is a great, low-maintenance option for keeping your guitar case at the right humidity level. The packs have two-way humidity control, adding or absorbing moisture to and from the packs to keep your instrument in the ideal 45 55% range. It is extremely simple, with no maintenance — it needs no refilling or adjustments — and is perfect for the musician who doesn’t want the added effort of protecting his guitar from humidity damage. Humidipak kit is ideal for acoustic guitars and wooden instruments with absolutely reliable, long-lasting, and very easy-to-use

Works fine but
After the bags are in the guitar and carried, gravity makes the bags of beads ball up and make it hard to get out past the strings without tearing the cloth bag. I had to put black duct tape strips on the bags so I could get them out quickly without fidgeting around and looking in the sound hole. I was cooking and playing outdoors one night and within minutes the fog rolled in and got the top of my J45 wet. I wiped it down and ordered one of these. In about 3-4 weeks it's taken my guitar's humidity down from 78-58. No major sprout at this point. One star off for design.

Cannot bring humidity down to the advertised 45-50% level
Rather disappointed with the performance of this product. The box claimed that it "safely dehumidifies to 45-50% RH". It never gets close to that range. Sent an inquiry to the support/warranty and was asked to calibrate hygrometer. Hygrometer was tested as accurate. Then was told maybe the placement of the hygrometer in the guitar case. Don't know where else to put it other than at open place where it has clearance to measure open space in the guitar case. Support no longer replies. The product probably (should?) work, but definitely not able to bring down the humidity to the advertised 45-50%. Cannot recommend this product.

Excellent Product Just As Expected From D'Addario
I own a wide array of D'Addario guitar products and knew that this would be another good option for my guitar. D’Addario offer a variety of Humidipak guitar case climate control options to protect your guitar. They have the Humidifier Humidipak Restore Kit-Automatic Guitar for bringing proper humidity levels back, the Humidipak Maintain Kit to maintain humidity levels, and this one - the Humidipak Absorb Kit for absorbing excess moisture. If you live on the East Coast, Pacific Northwest, Florida, etc. then this is a great option to make sure that your guitar doesn’t get oversaturated with humidity which can damage or even destroy a guitar. It’s super simple to install by placing the pack over the sound hole. I’ve seen some people try to use these Humidipaks on wall hanging guitars, but I think you’ll be much more successful having this in your guitar case to help remedy or protect from any issue. You can also purchase additional Humidipak packages without the entire kit. I’ve been using the D’Addario humidipaks for quite a while now and I know that they work really well. In fact, I think the Humidipak Restore actually saved my guitar that was becoming super dry and brittle. Now I have the reverse issue with way too much water in the air which is beginning to cause a slight bow. This Absorb kit seems to be doing the job, but you have to have patience too. I’m very happy with these packs - just be sure to choose the correct one you need based on your climate and state of your guitar. Definitely an excellent and important guitar maintenance/repair tool to have in your arsenal. Absolutely a strong recommend.

Didn't seem to do anything
I've been a D'Addario strings user since the mid-90s, refuse to use anything else. Buy a lot of their other products too. But this really didn't seem to do anything. After two weeks in the case, the humidity is the exact same, i.e. high-ish. YMMV, of course, but it was a waste of £40 for me.
