A lot of quality sound for not a lot of money
If you want a set of earbuds with big bucks quality and big bucks bass but don't want to pay the big bucks then you will not go wrong with these set of earbuds from soundcore. The Soundcore p40i's come with noise cancelling as you would expect and the achieve this really really well. I had these in fast cycling on a cycle lane on a busy road and there was loads of traffic and I could not hear any of the traffic. Now for the astute amongst you, you're probably say not safe riding with noise cancelling but I was on a cycle path. if I wanted/need to be able to still hear around me it also has an ambience setting which means that you can hear what still going on around you and still enjoy the bass and and the the music that you're listening to admittedly not as clear as sharp because you've got background noise seeping in and creating that dirty sound. So what's good about them? Like I said before the sound quality is exceptional on these especially for the price. I listen to various genres from listening to classical music bolero right down to heavy deep house and garage music and everything was crystal clear that I was listening to. Whilst dealing with phone calls as well, especially, on the move I could hear the person on the other end crystal clear and they didn't even realize I was on earbuds when I asked them to give me feedback and tell me if the sound quality was good they were like yeah you're on your phone right and I was like no I'm on the earbuds. The person on the other end of the phone was very impressed. The build quality on these are way better than the P3's that I have uploaded from and the charging case has a really nice sort of rubbery feel to it. The case can also double up as a kickstand for your mobile phone. The earbuds as you would expect to be are ultra light this might actually be a little bit of a negative because they're that light you might not realize they've popped out of your ears until you've stopped hearing the sound. Connecting these to my phone via Bluetooth was an absolute breeze and I've tested the distance between my phone being sat indoors and me walking out in the garden and they do cover a large distance but remember that its going to be different for everyone's phone because of the way Bluetooth is on each person's phone. So if you're looking for quality and great sound without having to speak to your bank manager then I cannot recommend these highly enough, buy them you won't regret it.

Great Sound for the Price, but Fit Could Be Better
My dog destroyed my AirPods and I didn’t want to spend much on a replacement, so I decided to try these. I haven’t tested the microphone yet, so I can’t comment on call quality, but the sound is impressive. The bass, clarity and connectivity are all excellent, especially considering the low price. The plastic case feels a bit cheap, so I’m hoping it holds up over time. The only real issue I’ve noticed is the fit. The earbuds tend to slip out of my ears, which might be due to the bud size or the overall design. When they sit properly, the audio is genuinely amazing. Noise cancellation works, the buttons can be customised through the app and the overall experience is very good for the cost. I tested them on both iPhone and Android and they work perfectly with both.

Good value, but don’t expect miracles
Good: sound quality, big bass, strong mids and good treble - not a million miles away from my much more expensive AirPods. Long battery life. Good sound seal in my ears. Good water resistance. Middling: touch control is fiddly, and not especially versatile. Controls change back to defaults if only using one earbud, forgetting what you’ve set in the app. The app is OK, not brilliant. Bad/poor: noise cancelling is very weak, not remotely in the same class as AirPods, but what do you expect for a fraction of the price? Conclusion: a good solid cheap pair of backup earbuds.

Just as good as the big name brands.
Bought these having now lost 2 pairs of expensive earbuds (samsung galaxy pro and bose quiet comfort). These are functionally better and sound just as good. I really like the case with its phone holder which I had disregarded when considering these but has been useful from day 1. The noise cancellation is brilliant for cutting out background noise from people talking, but not so good for continuous 'white noise' like my lawn mower. Nice app, nice quality feel of the earbuds, and they fit nice. No complaints, and a fraction of the price I've paid before.

Solid earbuds
Solid earbuds with epic battery life, but know the call quality tradeoff Sound & battery: Bass hits hard (BassUp mode is great for workouts), and 60-hour total playtime is no joke—I've gone days without charging. The 10-min quick charge giving 5 hours is a lifesaver. Case stand: Actually useful, not a gimmick. Great for propping your phone for video calls or watching shows. ANC: Decent for the price—handles office noise and plane hum well, but don't expect Bose-level silence. Adaptive feature works but can be inconsistent outdoors. Call quality: This is the catch. A few people said I sounded muffled or "underwater" during calls. If you take lots of calls, this might frustrate you. Fit: Comes with 5 tip sizes—once you find the right one, they're comfy and gym-proof (IPX5). Verdict: Perfect for bass lovers, gym-goers, or anyone who hates charging. Skip if crystal-clear calls are non-negotiable. Still, at this price, it's hard to beat the feature set.

Outstanding
Bought these to replace my anker liberty that were stolen. That pair was my intro to anker. I have the Apple earbuds latest version and both the liberty and these 40i and for me both these Anker models s*** on the Apple in terms of sound ANC and the outstanding battery life. The sound is rich and warm and the bass outstanding. And these were £200 less! What the actual! Apple you take the p***. Also the case doubles as a phone stand. Very cute. Buying these is a no brainer - Anker produce the best budget (comparable to high end) earbuds on the market. I wouldn’t buy any other.

Bass heads, buy these!
I switched from Apple to Android and so had to leave my airpods behind as they just do not work with Samsung (by design, it's not just you if your trying and failing to use Airpods with a non-Apple device!) after watching many, many YouTube videos, I noticed these were just about every tech reviewers "budget bargain", purchased on sale at ÂŁ33 with the confidence that if they werent to my taste, I could just send them back. I will be keeping these! To disclaimer, I am not an audiophile, I am a niche listener as I am a bass head. I love the feeling of my brain being jiggled in place, bass so hard you feel like any fillings you have are at risk of being shaken out of your teeth. It's not for everyone, and not for the average listener. These pair to your device (at least on Android) exactly like Airpods, as soon as you open them, pop up on your phone asking to pair, you are then prompted to download the Soundcore app, this is vital to the listening experience! Run through set up and firmware updates (will prompt you what to do) and the led bar on the front of the case will react to show you it's updating (really nice feature!). You then want to set up "HearingID", this will take you through a hearing test (doubt medically accurate) to ascertain what hertz range you can and can't hear so it can adjust your profile to you specifically. Complete that and enjoy. Pros: - yes they have the silicon tips that go down into your ear, but much to my pleasant surprise, no uncomfortable inner ear pressure sensation! I'm confident I could wear these for hours and hours without any discomfort! - sound quality, I would describe these as bright and full in the main. No tinny muddy notes picked up across my testing of various genres. I also tested a song that goes down to 20/30hz, and the bass was still very much rumbly and controlled, no blurring or static type effect, I would say these are a solid choice for a bass head that doesn't want to carry their expensive headphones out in public but also doesn't want to sacrifice hearing the bass to their favourite songs. I would summarise the sound stage as "If Airpods had bass capability" - honestly think these may well be the best everyday carry for the vast majority of headphone users, considering their price point, I honestly believe Anker have performed magic here, I have had ÂŁ100+ pairs that don't sound as full, bassy and clear as these! I would say these are better than Beats buds, or basic Airpods, which Anker should be very proud of considering once more people have tried these, they will question if they want to use Airpods again other than for the fashion statement. Cons: - the built in 'phone stand' flip up thing isn't going to be useful for 99% of users, any phone case will probably be too big to fit with any stability. - the ANC isn't going to win any awards anytime soon. When compared with Bose or Apple Pros, it's noticeably weaker on this feature, so if your buying these to absolutely silence everything around you, you will most likely need to look elsewhere. TLDR: Better sound than base model Airpods, actually have a surprisingly wide sound stage, you can hear even the most boosted of bass and feel the rumble, make a perfect every day carry, ÂŁ100-150 pair of headphones for half the price or less. ANC could be better. Absolutely buy them, especially on sale.

Very nice but weak noise cancelling
Typical earbud design, nicely done. Comfortable and sound quality is good for the price. The associated app is good - customising the equalisation by a hearing test is nice and some of the features do improve sound quality a little. Not much bass but then they are only relatively cheap earbuds. Main disappointment is the noise cancelling. Initially didn't seem to work at all but AnkerDirect stepped in to help and have now got them set up well enough to get some effect. Nothing like you see with higher end earbuds (used to use QuietComfort but they died) but some effect. Beware that the tips themselves are thin and getting the right tip and fit makes a significant difference to sound quality and noise cancelling, naturally enough. With other buds I use the default "medium" tips. With these the medium tip felt fine and secure but the app's "Tip Fit Test" said they weren't sealing well enough. Had to go to the XL size and change the angle I wear them at to get a passing fit. With that the quality was much better and at least some sound cancelling effect. The Tip Fit Test is buried in the app settings menu instead of being on the main page or setup screens so easy to miss.

ANC feature is worst as if it does not exist.

Great sound, instant connection, very comfortable
I’m really happy with the Soundcore P40i. Pairing was quick and painless, and once it’s set up it connects to my phone immediately. Take it out of the case and it just works, no waiting, no fiddling. Sound quality is excellent for the size, clear and punchy, and more than good enough for music, podcasts, and calls. I also really like the magnetic snap when putting the earbuds back in the case, it feels solid and well-designed. They sit comfortably in my ears, even for longer listening sessions, and the included different ear tip sizes are a nice touch and make it easy to get a good fit. The touch controls are simple and responsive, skipping tracks works reliably without having to tap ten times. The only small downside is that it doesn’t support multi-device connectivity, so switching between devices isn’t seamless. That said, it’s a minor nitpick compared to how well everything else works. Overall, great value, reliable, comfortable, and very easy to use. Would definitely recommend.
