These are a modern classic. *by A***. on Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2021* These American Professional necks are some of the most universally liked necks Fender has ever produced. Fat in the "Cowboy Chords" area to fill the hand while doing chord work and thinner further up for soloing with 9.5" radius fingerboard, perfectly rolled edges BEFORE fretting and finishing, and wonderfully non-sticky satin urethane finish. They really are a perfect blend of all the "mod cons" in one package. Fender is really doing it RIGHT these days, making updates that are 50 years overdue! Better late than never. To be fair I think this neck is similar to the latest versions of the American Standard line that immediately preceded American Professional line launch around 2017? but whatever... These necks are just awesome. Just to prove I'm not a fanboy, I think the Ultra series jumped the shark. Not everything Fender does these days is gold but the Am Pro line is brilliant, especially the new Am Pro II's, and even more specifically the Am Pro II Jazzmaster finally has the bridge AND tremolo hardware fixes that were LONG overdue. I took a chance and ordered it expecting that the picture was wrong. It wasn't, the description is wrong. I decided it was fate and my Stratocaster needed a Maple fretboard.
