How do you connect to other sets? Is it necessary to purchase additional tracks and connectors?

These can connect directly to the other "Hot Wheels City" sets. They have like little plastic nubs that interlock to the other sets and also to the "Hot Wheels City" thicker/heavier large plastic tracks. They also have the little slide in connector place for using the floppy orange tracks. A lot of the "City" tracks can also connect directly to the "Floppy Orange" tracks allowing you to mix and match. The options are definitely nice, my son has 5 or 6 different sets now and sometimes we connect them directly and sometimes we space them out with tracks. Do you need additional tracks? No... Will you eventually end up getting some? Probably...
