LOVE these push fit connections
After remodeling a bathroom a few decades ago and fighting endlessly trying to sweat copper pipes and get a good seal while not catching the house on fire with the blow torch, I dreaded the project when a bathtub/shower valve in our recent house needed to replaced. But after checking out options came across these little miracles that make making solid water-tight connections SO MUCH EASIER - and work with different types of materials to boot (e.g. copper to PEX, etc). And if you need to adjust anything? They pop off and can still be used again. Love Love Love these. They've been in place about 9mo now and still holding no drips.

Sharkbite works.
Always rely on Sharkbite connectors. I have used them to make a number of otherwise difficult plumbing repair jobs rather easy. I have some that have been in place for many years with no failures.

Requires a gasket!
You need to buy a gasket to go with this. It does not come with one.

Press Firmly. Must seat fully.
Never used press-on fittings before but now I wouldn't use anything else unless required by code. Easy to use, just press on (make sure you fully press pipe into fitting.) Works as designed and better than getting out the solder.
