I've got about 8+ pots and pans hanging up, plus lids on that top shelf. (I don't feel comfortable to hang my cast iron stuff on this, so they stay in the cabinet.) Never the less, I'm impressed with the amount of weight it can handle, and it has cleared up a lot of space for me. My only issue is I have to scooch pots and pans out of the way to get to ones in the center-back. I think if I had one that was free hanging from the ceiling with access to all four sides, the pots and pans would be easier to get to. But this was for space saving, I don't have the room for one that hangs from the ceiling without being in the way, and I don't really mind having to scooch things. I'm pretty happy with the purchase.
