I forgot about my caviar and it was left in the fridge unopened for a year, why did it turn green?

It’s probably gone bad and color is likely from the added coloring in the caviar that can give it a greenish tint.

Does this caviar come from Russia?

I googled it and it says it’s made in the USA. Russian caviar is typically much more expensive as it usually comes from sturgeon .

Why is this so salty? we can't eat it.

Saltiness is natural in this product. I recommend to go on Pinterest and see recipes on appetizers. You only eat a small amount at a time, I make blinis and they are absolutely delicious.

Taste great

This tastes great and is a fair price for 3 of them. This is the same caviar on the salad bar at Chart House restaurant. I love it with crackers, whipped cream cheese and the caviar on top.

You need to know how to use this properly.

Poor man's caviar. Yes salty and a bit fishy. If you prepare it properly it is delicious. Decent crackers, cream cheese, then slice of cucumbers or tomatoes, add a little cilantro, dill, and green onion, Crack a little black pepper for heat if you want, and you will be addicted.
