ami Really Enjoyed this book
My Granddaughters, five and six, ami Really Enjoyed this book. We were just going to read one story, but just didn't want to quituntil we had read every story. The characters were really loveable and their problems were ones that we could relate to and learn from...in a very gentle, light-handed way. I will definitely buy more of Becca Prices's books for us to read aloud!

Wonderful children's book
The stories are great. These little stories would be great to read to a child. I like the fact that the author has written a children's book that helps parents and children interact.

These little books by Becca Price are enchanting. Fun to read aloud at quiet time or before bed- even older children enjoy them!

No illustrations
Disappointing. Expected an illustrated story book my grandson would enjoy turning the pages. Just text shows in my Kindle Fire.

Great on-the-go short fairy tales
The writing style, sentence structure, text size, illustrations, and individual stories will appeal to a wide variety of age groups, I'd guess up to 7/8 years old. Prior to reading the book I decided not to read any reviews so I could form my own unbiased opinion. I began reading it with my 5 (soon to be 6) year old nephew. He did not interrupt me even once (as is usual when he's listening but not engaged). The stories are interlaced, taking place in the same area of a field but at different locations: the bush, the tree etc. From within each location is its own world with its own character(s). You may perceive morals woven within each story, and if you do they are simply folded in and not forced. I personally enjoyed the one about the little firefly because he kept trying to fit in and hoped he belonged somewhere. There are fewer or limited illustrations then I'd expected for what appears to be the target age-group. With that said, my nephew at 6 years old kept his interest, didn't ask for more, which I think means there were enough. There were about one on each spread though not on all spreads. If the child is extremely visual this book might be best at certain times when they are not easily excitable but somewhat more relaxed. We read the fairy tales a few at a time while taking a drive to a local Animal Sanctuary and so the book kept him highly engaged during the 30 minute ride and for that I am thankful. He also asked to take it home with him so he can finish the fairy tales - I didn't let him because I was selfish and wanted to finish reading them to him myself! I think this book will be especially good while traveling to/fro destinations; to keep in the car for times you're sitting and waiting, or in line etc. to help pass the time easily.

No Illustrations Takes Away From the Book
This is a sweet story about different lonely creatures - butterfly, kitten, firefly, etc. - and how they want a friend so badly they are willing to create or capture one. When they allow the other creature freedom (let it go), they find the friendship they are looking for. The underlying lesson of the book isn't obvious so it goes down easy. I was horribly disappointed that there are no illustrations. The book is about brightly colored creatures, and is clearly a child's book, it should have illustrations.Disclosure: I was given a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Great choice for a bedtime read.
A collection of cute stories appropriate for any bedtime. Unfortunately, that seemed to mean for me as well. While the stories lulled my babies to sleep, the repetitiveness of them lulled me there with them. My kids do give the thumbs up though, and they appreciated the illustrations.*I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.
