Clear cut for thick plastic sheet
Other than the bad instructions which took a while to figure out got to connect the blade, the knife worked well. Need to go slow when cutting thick plastic sheet but it came out clean. I put the sheet on a wooden plank and then put pressure with the hot knife to cut the sheet.

Threads to short
The threads for the collet are to short. I had to grind a few millimeters off the brass sleeve so the threads would bite into the heating iron tip.

cutting tool for plastic
I did not use this tool because even though it looks like a nice tool but I like an on/off switch and this tool doesn't have one. I cannot attest to the descriptions like grip, quality, etc.

The media could not be loaded. Simple to work with, the collet sleeves came too long, I had to face about 1mm or (1/32") off the collet end of the sleeves in a lathe. The video was made using a new logitech WebCam, I also bought from Amazon.

Update on This Item!
So this was not the miracle foam board cutter I was hoping for. The blade would not stay put in the device and would “slide” back. I burned myself several times trying to put it back in place so the heat was pretty good lol.The cutting was choppy and jagged. Wish I had taken a pic of the edge of the foam board project I was trying to cut out.I finally decided to super glue the blade in place, however once I did that, it sort of “popped” and whole thing turned off and stopped working! So MY BAD- however if the blade would’ve just stay put, I’d still have this device. No worries tho- it really wasn’t that great of a product. I just threw it away.Since writing the above review, the company contacted me and offered me a FULL REFUND on this item! Very impressive!

Threads strip easy
Be careful the stand is cheap and this thing will burn you by accident and don't put any pressure audit when cutting because it will strip the knife blade right out of the tool I had this thing broken in 5 minutes
