Used these to make my wire tuck look cleaner.

The whole reason I ordered these stainless steel rivet nuts is to use on an outdoor project. The normal cadmium yellow rivet nuts offer some weather resistance, but for day in and day exposure to UV and moisture, those yellow ones fail in about a year in my experience. That, or they start rusting the base material around the rivet nut.These stainless steel nuts should put an end to all that corrosion and stand up a lot longer! I will say that they are noticeably harder to squeeze than the carbon steel ones which gives me confidence that these are true stainless and not a coated carbon steel nut. Even with that confidence, I still plan to lather some anti-seize between the base metal and the rivet nut to give myself the best chance at corrosion resistance!

I used these 1/4" Rivnuts from PEUTIER to mount the brackets for the new air dam on the front of the belly pan on my '68 Saab project car. They worked great. I like them because of the added corrosion resistance stainless steel offers and they installed nicely with a good tight, even crush. I would buy them again.
