I've had these for over 6 months now and they still look great - The color/leather is surprisingly scuff and scratch resistant and the metal trim at the front and rear is sturdy so it wont be bending out of shape every time you happen to knock them into something. The top portion is so soft right out of the box, you don't even feel it on your calf. The leather over the foot portion is thin, but reinforced with other material underneath and is holding up very well. That being said, these may not last as well if employed as true work boots - but with the height of the heel, it's not what they're design for anyway. When brand new, the soles are unbelievably slippery, especially on carpet. So go out in the driveway and do the twist for a couple minutes and you'll have plenty of grip. I replaced the straps with a different style, but that's just personal taste.
