No. That sounds like Pop Rocks candy. This feels hot and cold at same time.

Q: could i use it to relieve heat while playing sports in 100 degree weather

I don't think so as it goes on cool but turns warm to relieve pain in muscles. Works best if skin is covered after application.

Q: Can you use this product to massage affected area for relief besides just applying

. I use this product on my arms, back and legs according to the intensity of the pain that I am experiencing. A little massaging would be ok. But it’s all about how you feel at the time. Sometimes applying it with a little rubbing is all you need. Cover with a towel to produce a little warmth, and feel the coolness and the warmth kick in. Enjoy.
