Is it able to be used on a table?

Yes, I use mine on a table, sometimes a chair. If you mean to display a created dress, then make it a lower table than the one you would eat at, or sew at. I move mine around depending on what part I am working on. I do hand detail work and so want that part at eye level. It's a pretty little thing, once you get it together, bit not as easy to work with as my adult size form. Still, I like mine a LOT. :)
