Must replace footbed inserts, otherwise good cheap boots for work.
Aggressively decent! I’m used to well worn in full grain leather 8in work boots. I’ve got nicks and redwings that are great for their respective tasks. I bought these to put miles on and as basic safety equipment for general work/construction/roofing. They’re light, the soles are grippy, the composite toes are acceptable. I’m kinda snobby about boots and I like these for what they are. Get insoles that work for you and they’re good to go. You’ll be replacing these every year if you get after it with them which should be expected at the price point. Just get them if you need a cheap and worthwhile work boot.

The only boots I need!
Finally retiring my first pair of Rangers after nearly 2 years of 9-12 hour shifts on a loading dock. Mile after mile they stayed comfortable; breathable in the hot muggy summers, with thick wool socks they stayed toasty in the winter, and they proved pretty water-resistant as well. I did replace the insoles on mine for something a little more supportive, but I'm still impressed with how comfy and lightweight these are right out of the box. Incredibly slip-resistant, even when cleaning up spills of who-knows-what. Best of all: NO ZIPPERS! Great ankle support for climbing over/under/through freight (and one less moving part to fail!).The only real "con" wasn't too bad- stitching started separating after about a year of daily use (can see in pic). I still feel like I more than got my money's worth out of these. Just bought another pair and hope to get another few good years out of them!

Most comfortable work boots I've owned
There was no break-in time. They were instantly comfortable and no blisters. They were a bit big over the top of my foot but that allowed for a second insole for my arch support.Wish they had the speed laces going up the leg of the boot but that's minor.I've worn them a couple of weeks on construction sites and they still look new. I even wear them on jobs that protected toe boots are not required. Before I'd wear normal boots because they were more comfortable than my old work boots. Will buy these or any other Bates boots again.

Great boots all things considered
I've had these boots for 8 months, I use them daily for everything. I had the tread split from the body of the shoe a couple weeks ago and will try shoe gooing them, I also had the laces bust within days of the tread splitting. The leather has worn off the toes where I shift my bike, and have to get down on the floor at work to weld. The in souls had holes worn in them so I replaced them with some Dr Scholl's in souls for less than 15 dollars. I'm happy with them over all after lasting 5 months longer than my keens up to the time of writing, and 1/3rd of the price too. Definitely going to buy another pair when these give up the ghost and if I can find a winder version I'll get those too for next winter.

Very comfortable even with factory inserts.
These boots are great during the summer because of the little air vents on the sides. They’re not so good for the cold or wet weather for the same reason. That being said they are made for hot dry conditions and that’s what it says in the description from the manufacturer on the box. I’ve worn a couple different pairs of this brand and style and they make great boots for people on their feet all day.

Boot width
I like the boots as far as everything with them but of course the insoles they come with are junk and I’d highly recommend getting the custom insoles for them

Ran slightly bigger for me.
Quality seems real good, I'll know better after wearing them in the field. They are fairly soft already. My only big, is that the 11 runs a little bigger than I'm used to. My heal rubs a little in one boot, otherwise they are very comfortable! I can't wait to run them through some mud.

Comfort and protection
I'm at the end of a second summer with these boots and they are still holding up fine, an airflow grommet fell out along the inside mid sole. At first i thought the sole of the boot to be soft and inferior to comparable work boots but all the stitching and glue is holding up better than the pile of used spare/backup boots i have in the basement. Initially i found the composite toe cap is narrow compared to your standard work boot. There was no break in period. They preform great as a hot weather boot and temperature/comfort wise i wish i knew about hot weather boots sooner.

These Boots Didn’t Last
The Fabric was cheap, and actually broke away and was cracking. I dot. Think the leather used was very good quality for a ‘combat’ boot.

Not bad.
Lack of speed laces at the top is the only problem. Fairly symmetrical construction, sized well at a 12
