I bought this for painting Warhammer. The 3 lights can be angled all the way up to 90 degrees, illuminating the model from 3 sides. High number of diodes and surface area eliminates all shadows on the model. The light head can be angled away from you, creating a perfect setup to paint without lights shining in your eyes. Both brightness and color temperature are stepless adjustable, giving you an option to find your perfect setting. The light is very bright at Max setting, I use it at about 30% power. The color temperature ranges from very cold to rather warm, and for painting you want something neutral which is very possible with this lamp. The only minor downside is it comes with a US plug, so for people in EU or UK you will need an adapter.

I wish I had time to leave more reviews because I do rely upon them so heavily when searching for just the right product on Amazon. I couldn't resist saying something about this light. This is so much more than I expected. I had a unique situation that required a very versatile light. Actually, I didn't think that I could find one light to do all that I would ask of it but this one did! It is beautifully constructed and engineered. There are so many different ways you can angle and bounce light WHILE focusing on the subject at hand. I Also, I LOVE the fact that it has a physical dimmer knob! All of the controls are right there in front of you for easy access and the light remembers your settings for the next time you turn it on. None of this blinking crap or sifting through endless settings to get back to where you were. It can be VERY bright with a true daylight look of around 5200K or subtle with a warm light probably around 3200K. I just love this light and it was refreshing to see that someone really put some thought into its design. I will definitely be buying more of these for other computer workstations at home and elsewhere. I hope you'll agree when yours arrives. Use it in good health.

EVERYTHING the ad said is true. I needed a versatile light for working puzzles AND repairing sewing machines. After researching many lights, I chose this one. The only issue I have is the hinges don't all stay where I adjust them. They have adjustment tighteners, but don't work very well, so I can't keep it set where I want. If you buy one, check it out THOUROUGHLY before the return period is up. I'd return this if it weren't over the return period. So, nice light, poor hinges.
