Does this product need an nfc reader app to connect to my iphonex?

I don't know what an nfc reader is, I do know that it plugs into my iphone x. It's just a good quality headphone and lets me listen to my music privately. I hope this helps

I don’t know I suspect so. Search for audio jack with female connecter that can receive iPhone male connector & with a male connector that can connect to what. Ever you want. Good luck
