Gret Club for Previously Burglarized Car That Can Now be Hot Wired
The first thing I did was to check and see how it locked. I couldn't get the key to move, and neither could my grandsons who are as handy as I am (VERY!). I posted a question, asking how it locks, and lo and behold, it is as simple as pulling out the club end until the twisted part is at the lock, and waiting to hear a click. When you hear the click, turn the key, and it will lock. Voila! I tried it and it worked beautifully. That was late at night, so I put it onto my steering wheel first thing in the morning. Beautiful. I have a Ford Explorer XTL and the steering wheel is large, padded, and loaded with the mechanism for the cruise control, but this fit on it with no trouble at all. Unfortunately, in this high end area, the crime has risen, and my car was one chosen for being burglarized twice with the key lock being broken, but they got nothing. LOL. The battery was dead, and the starter needed to be replaced. Beside that, I never keep anything of value in my car overnight, but the car is repaired now, and I don't want it hot wired and stolen now that it's fixed and ready to roll, thus the club. It works well, it's easy to operate, and it has a great reputation.

GOOD PART OF COMPLETE PROTECTION
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

Dr. Hook Locks/Rocks
Just after buying a Mazda Miata convertible, I ran across this device on Amazon for security. I liked the yellow over the red for higher profile visability with the top up. The unit is simple,, rugged and works perfectly well on my steering wheel.Dr. Hook is a bit on the short side but should fit any modern era steering wheel. Not sure how it would fit a '54 Cadilac. I anchor the left side of the bar to the wheel and the far left end of the windshield and pillar. Great fit. Two keys are supplied. And, the price is very reasonable. Highly recommend this product.

Best value i've found on amazon for a club
For the price and quality of the item you cant beat this one. Its 4 lbs heavy, I did not see much value in the 15 dollar 2 lb one, I wanted something that would be tougher to break. For one thing, these are a deterrence more than an anti theft device. I did not see much point in the double prongs because if someone comes ready to steal a car they're gonna come with a saw or knife and just cut your steering wheel, thus, double prongs just make 20 seconds into 30 seconds with getting it off your wheel. 99% of the people that might think of stealing a car on the are not gonna come prepared to try and break something unless you have a mclarren or something. This one looks nicer, takes up less room, and its cheaper than the original club model. This one is 19 inches long prong tip to prong tip in the furthest position it will lock. It is not a self locking one but i think that's better, the self locking ones have a lever that clicks for every noche it goes over thus, it will wear out more easily. Notice the complaints of locks jamming on the self locking ones. This one requires a key to lock and unlock, if its in the wrong position it wont lock as easily but all you have to do is adjust the length about half an inch and youll get no resistance when locking it. Shipping was on time, but in the U.S. for me, shipping was 15 dollars, you can save a few bucks just by adding another product to the order that qualifies for super saver shipping, club + shipping was about 36-37 dollars for me, club+ 10 dollar item qualifying for super savor shiping = about 4 bucks less altogether. Also i tested it in my car that fries in the sun during the day, handle did not melt or get sticky in the heat. I'm happy with it. Have a good day folks :)

works fine
pain in the butt to get it on my small steering wheel for some reason, but I am guessing it is user error and I end up getting it on there sooner or later so all is well. So far so good, car hasn't been broken in to or stolen yet and the quality seems sturdy

Affordable Peace of Mind in a High-Crime Area
I've never owned a Club. But my neighborhood and specific street have seen a rash of car thefts this year, as reported by our police crime stats. My Toyota Corolla is a popular car to steal. Although I live in an upscale neighborhood in a large city, because we're close to a 7/11 where drug deals take place, a lot of kids want to break into cars for easy drug money. I have had a car window broken, which is traumatic enough, as did my downstairs neighbor and neighbor across the street. My upstairs neighbor had her Toyota stolen three weeks ago. So hearing about her theft finally prompted me to buy a Club.I read that professional car thieves can still disable a Club with a hacksaw, but I don't think the car theft wave here is caused by professional auto thieves. It's done by drugged kids who want more drugs. So I consider this my $20 insurance plan. This bright yellow device can be seen at night (I always park under a street lamp, even if it means extra walking). And it's easy to use. It comes with two keys, so you can always have a spare if you need it. This Club is simple and very affordable, and could be worth thousands of dollars to you in preventing your vehicle from being stolen, stripped, or shipped.
