Great gift idea!!!
I bought this for my daughter that asked for a "big ruby" for Christmas. It's a little smaller than other paperweights I have seen in the past. It is solid and I feel that it will not break or crack if she drops it. Overall I am very happy with what I've purchased and I'm thinking about getting her the Emerald too!!! This is the perfect little gift to say thank you to anyone who loves sparkly things!

Great Value for real Glass
I got this for a Halloween costume but may not use it. No fault of this gem though. For the price it is a nice large glass crystal.

Appears to be painted glass
The crystal is beautiful when you first receive it, but it appears to be made of glass that's been painted red. I use it as a paperweight, and the paint on the edges appears to be rubbing off revealing clear glass underneath.
