Worst pencils I have ever bought
I bought 10 pencils. All had broken leads throughout their length and were effectively unusable after their first sharpening - using the makers own sharpener! The wood is soft and friable and gives little support to the lead. Staedtler was always a brand leader - but these pencils belong in the gutter.

I didn’t expect that a Staedtler product could be so bad! Lead keeps breaking, have got hardly any use out of these pencils.And the wood itself it porous and coarse.

These work very well and the little rubber on the end rubs out. Great price considering my children have an inability to use a pencil more than once

A norris without the nostalgia
Decent rubber, staedtler quality. Same as a norris, but without the nostalgia that yellow and black brings.

Awful erasers on the top
The erasers on the top of the pencil are truly poor quality. Smudgy, and takes ages to rub out anything. I expected a lot better. Just shows you cannot always trust 5* reviews on Amazon.

Staedtler Norica Eraser Tipped Pencil (Pack of 5), 132 46BK5DST
I bought this for my 7-year-old... I found the pencil to be too dark and too soft. I think it's definitely a good pencil for an older child, whose handwriting is developed.
