My dog did not like them at all and they were messy to put on

The good:* I saw/heard an immediate improvement in the clicking of nails on hardwood floors.* My dog didn't mind these a bit* They stay adhered, even after a monthThe bad:* They stay adhered, even after a month, which means I had to manually remove them to trim my dog's nails.In short, they're a great product, but covering the nails prevents the nail from wearing. As the nails continue to grow, you're left removing these by hand in order to trim nails.

These are great and not invasive like other products my Shepard mix is 15 and is struggling on our floors we’ve tried everything rugs shoes grip socks and more. All a hassle and not a good solution. I was skeptical because these were so economical. My dog is a lot safer and confident getting around. She’s had them on for 2 weeks now and they aren’t budging. Prep is important my dog let me grind and cut her nails with bo issue my be more difficult if your dog is not ok with having nail done. You do have to play with them and trim as needed but overall very happy with purchase. Will be ordering more!

The only reason I didn't give the nail caps five stars is that even XXL was too small for my dog (a male Doberman). But as I really wanted to try them out (on two claws on his hind left foot) I snipped into the caps top and bottom, and fitted them as instructed, which was absolutely no problem. We go for four 15 minute walks a day (he has a neurological condition, so mustn't do long walks any more), and the caps held four to five days each time, which I think is pretty good going, as my dog really drags those claws on the ground. I only need two caps at a time, so the packet does last quite a long time. As there must be dogs with bigger claws around, I am sure an extra size up would be much appreciated! The other alternative to the caps is a complete shoe, which we also have no problem with, just we get stopped all the time by people asking what is wrong with the "poor dog". The caps are so much more discreet...

I thought this would be the perfect production to solve my German Shepherd from scratching the interior of my car. I took them to groomer and had them trim my dogs nails and apply them. I thought they were grand. But my German Shepherd began licking the purdy paws and her paws. Within just a couple of days her paws looked red and swollen. I had to take her to a vet to have them removed. The vet tech told me that the glue had stuck to her fur and her nail bed was swollen and infected. After the painful removal of purdy paws and a course of antibiotics my shepherd was fine. But I would have been happier not to put her through this misery and save myself from a very costly vet bill.

RETRACTION: It says you get 20 caps. I got 19. For the price, to be shorted one is a big disappointment.There WERE 20 in the package. WARNING--- they bounce!! I found the lost one when my dog was playing with "something" on the floor-- it was the 20th cap. Apparently it bounced off the counter onto the floor, unnoticed by me. So I'm sorry for the initial negative comment.I will need a second person to help me apply these nail caps-- my doge despises anyone touching her nails. Even trying one on (they fit- she is a 55 pound Goldendoodle) made her rather testy. Weekend project ahead!!

I just had wood floors installed and I have a very hyper Labrador. These work great to keep scratches away. I have now applied them twice, removing the old ones and trimming the nails between. They were very easy to put on (if your dog is obedient) and last about 3-4 weeks with regular walks outside which causes them to wear faster. There was another comment saying their pets nails got infected... I could see this happening if you chose too large a size or applied too much glue to run onto the pad or hair. The key is just enough glue to get it to stick, not too much that it comes out when you push the cap on. Very happy myself but be careful with the glue...and btw I am actually a veterinarian :)

Hard to find nail covers that will work for dogs with thick nails (German Shepherd). If you have a GSD like mine (female around 70lbs), then these will be hard to get working for your dog. Even the XXL size aren't appropriate for my dog, and this was a wasted purchase. It's a learning experience though, and for the money it was worth the try. Beware though, you may want to correctly size your dogs nails if you're looking at this item.
