Mine doesn't have adhesive sticker inside unless you're talking about the clear protective feature For your driver's license etc in the center.

does the currency section have 2 separate compartments?

Only one. There are other compartments if you want to hide currency or other items. 3 to be exact besides the card compartments.

Is the wallet actually 5.2" by 5.2" as the description states? If so, it should be square!

No! That is a misprint. The wallet is 5.2 X 2.5 folded
