This review evaluates the “Blind Rivet Removal Tool” made by MINOVA. The product was well-secured in its plastic case. What’s in the box: one (1) blind rivet removal tool with five (5) different-sized cobalt drill and collet adapters (1/8", 5/32", 3/16", 7/32" and 1/4") housed in a plastic case. Note: The tool does not come with any instructions. First impressions: Unique. Slick. Beefy. This is a well-made, heavy-duty tool; it looks like it’s built to last. How did this tool perform? In one word – EXCELLENT! The old way of properly doing this would involve using a regular drill bit and having the rivet spin and make a mess of the sheet metal surface or trying to carefully grind the top off with a die grinder, once again making a mess of the sheet metal surface. Struggle no more! With this tool, you can quickly and properly remove a rivet in seconds without damaging the finished surface. First of all, you grab the appropriately sized collet/drill combination and insert it into the tool. You then adjust the collet with its toothed cup to sit just on the surface of the rivet and lock it into place with the double-threaded nut collar. Then you slowly drill out the rivet, the toothed cup holds the rivet from spinning and the sharp cobalt drill effortlessly drills out the center of the rivet. I must say this tool is slick, with its plunging drill bit and toothed cup; there is little or no wear to the metal surface and it is removed in seconds... Easy peasy… Where was this tool all my life?! I am evaluating this product as part of the Amazon Vine program so I am limited to a 30-day window to submit a review. Only time will tell if this product has similar longevity and effective service life as other competitive products. Therefore, I will monitor this product over the next 8-12 months of use and revise my review should problems arise. Cost-effectiveness and value: Overall I was seriously impressed with the functionality of this tool. At a current price of $69.50, some may say that this is way too expensive - “just drill it out the old way”; I say, if you use a lot of rivets it’s a no-brainer - this tool is invaluable and saves a lot of grief. I feel that this is great value for the quality delivered and it’s a handy tool in your arsenal. Even if you use it once or twice it pays for itself in ease and speed of repair. In summary: The “Blind Rivet Removal Tool” made by MINOVA is a unique, heavy-duty tool built to last. I would recommend this product without reservation. Cons👎: ✘ The included plastic box is flimsy and not indicative of the quality of the tool and the price point. Manufacturer Suggestions 🖐: ✔ Include a quality hard plastic case.

Item did exactly what it was supposed to perfectly and hassle free. I was definitely surprised on how it removed the rivets without having to use a punch or pliers. One tip though , if you are removing more than one rivet clean the tool as the heads accumulate after removal. I removed 12 rivets in approximately 2 minutes without ruining the surface.

Well made rivet removal kit. The bits are strong and sharp and do the trick. It also comes in a nice plastic case to keep it all in one place. I hope this helps in your decision making.
