My cable broke and I found a spare cable in box but it had a 6.5mm jack instead of the standard 3.5mm so I opted for the adapter over a replacement cable and I am happy that I did

It works fine with no noticable difference in quality. However after a couple weeks of use the 3.5mm male jack is already substantially bent / damaged which is annoying especially because I used the item in a mainly stationary environment.So I would buy a more durable item. There are similar adaptors that go for a quarter of the price.
