I really like the blue/purple of this dye. My hair is white/Gray and a lot of dyes (even permenant ones) don't do well with gray hair. I hadn't heard of this brand and it's a bit pricier than some but I couldn't resist the colour. I did about half the length of my short hair on the whole top of my hair. This left all the ends purple with white underneath. The effect came out very well, and the dye shifts from dark blue to dark purple depending on the light. The whole process takes me about 15 minutes to do by myself. It rinses out well, not leaving colour residue on my pillows. It lasted a good 4-6 weeks and I wash my hair almost every morning. The colour does fade a little with repeated washing, but using products that help seal the colour did a lot to minimize that. This stuff is gentle on the hair. Since it's a demi/semi permement, you don't need developer which damages your hair. My hair stayed soft and easy to manage even after repeated re-application over and over for months. You also don't need to cake it on. Granted, my hair is short, but this will easily last me a couple of years with just one tub. Shoulder or mid back length could easily get 10 or 15 applications if you did all of your hair.

I use the blue/purple shift and I love it. It’s beautiful formula. Actually use it as a hair conditioning mask too! My hair feels soooo soft after I love it. The color lasts a long time, I’ve previously been using Arctic Fox and I feel like this one lasts longer. The color is more on the blue side, which is beautiful but I mix in a tad of extra purple for my favorite shade. I have nothing bad to say. Oh! It also runs off skin super easy, like barely any staining. It’s crazy!

After watching hundreds of Brad Mondo videos, I was pumped to try this. I have bleached highlights I have been coloring with another brand that never disappoints. The color was always vibrant and I only had to touch it up every 2-3 months when it would start to fade. I used the XMONDO purple/blue and it wasn’t vibrant at all. You could barely see it against the rest of my dark hair. It also washed out within about 2ish weeks leaving my highlights a dingy green color. Don’t bother spending the money on this just because he seems to know what he’s doing in his videos. There are far better toners/dyes on Amazon that will give you the results you’re looking for.

I like the way it makes my hair soft, smelling good and depositing into my hair but you have to be aware than can fade quickly

I love the intensity of the color, my hair felt so healthy after. I was very very happy. BUT! I NEVER saw ANY purple. It stayed a dark blue. Faded a little with washing. Was excited for the shift that just never happened. Will buy the xmondo super blue next time.

I am giving only 4 stars because I was sent the wrong color. Doing an exchange in hopes of getting the right one. I've used MondoX color for a while now. My hair is always shinny and soft. So you can imagine my surprise when I opened the box and instead of the blue purple shift, I got an orange ish red? My hair needs to be touched up and hydrated! MondoX does that all in one jar, and it smells really nice. As an older lady I dont care for the grape soda smell from the other brand, I do love that at my age I can express myself I a fun way that my hair loves! Easy to apply and rinses out pretty easily. Yes it fades quickly, but my hair is soft and shinning the entire time! I will always purchase MondoX and always use it

I've gotten a ridiculous amount of compliments since I started putting this in my hair. I think the color is gorgeous and I looooove the subtle shift between lights. I like that it's a mask rather than a traditional hair dye. I just feel like it works better in my hair than other ones I've tried. The color lasts a decent amount of time, but that is always going to vary from person to person (I personally touch it up probably every week since it's only my bangs and the underside of my hair that are the most vivid). I definitely will be buying it again and would love to see how other colors perform.

I really wanted to love this. I have used other colors in the past with no problems, but this one just didn't work for me. I did the allergy patch test first, then applied the color to my hair. I waited the 20 minutes that it says to wait, then rinsed it out and there was no color in my hair. I thought that maybe since I had waited the 24 hours for the patch test my hair may have been a bit too oily, so I washed it, let it air dry and re-applied the color. The second time, I waited for 30 minutes before rinsing, but sadly, there was still no color in my hair. The pink nitrile gloves I used are beautiful, though. :)
