BCUK Frozen Fish Food - Brine Shrimp - 100g

My clown loaches adore bloodworm and, in particular, the frozen blocks.As anticipated, my order did arrive defrosted. However, I did not expect it to be wrapped in soggy cardboard! We were lucky the postman could still read the address label.However, once the slabs were cleaned and popped into the freezer, all was fine.More importantly, my clown loaches are happy!I will not be reordering this item - its a walk down the pet shop for me.

My fish are much happier with this Bloodworm than the frozen Daphnia I bought a while back. They love it and it's easy to deal with. It comes frozen (obviously) in a tray of small portions. All you do is store in the freezer and cut off a portion as needed. This can be left a while to defrost, tho you can just drop the cube into the tank. The Bloodworms are not small so if you drop frozen portions in then larger fish may scoff several and then end up a bit poorly with a stomach full of frozen food. I prefer to let it thaw. So the packets are sent in a polystyrene box, wrapped with bubble wrap and well sealed. Mine had defrosted a little but I haven't experienced any problems with refreezing as soon as it arrived. I wouldn't advise leaving it out too long or defrosting multiple times as bacteria might start to reproduce.

Quick delivery and packaged extremely well. My fish love these, I do have to use several blocks as I have a garden pond with many fish. No instructions about freezing and then defrosting these. Should be defrosted before giving to fish. My fish go mad as soon as they realise these have been put in the pond.

Ordering this in summer time didn't work, as it arrived a few days later horribly stinky and very off. Maybe in the winter with lower temps during delivery it could work? I found same product in my local small pet shop luckily. So for me this didn't work, must have defrosted within an hour of sending it and definitely gone off when got it days later.

It arrived in time but wasn't frozen, so I was concerned if it's still good for the fishes... But as soon as I put one chunk in the tank fishes were mad about it... You can see the energy and love for it... I had been feeding beef heart before but never saw the similar excitement as this one... So definitely a good one... I will be buying again
