Happy w/the comfort but front is a bit high for bathroom visits
The fit of these bibs is pretty comfortable. I’ve used these bibs three times so far for rides ranging from 35-50 miles and was pleasantly surprised for the comfort, especially the chamois. The negatives for me involve the shoulder straps which I find a bit narrower than I would have preferred and feel like they may tear if pulled too hard. Additionally, the front stomach panel is cut a bit high which makes nature breaks a little tough. Overall though the fit on the saddle matters the most to me and these are keepers

Great fit!
Of all of the bike bibs I have had, this are my favorite!

hmm..Not Bad... for a 5mile ride. But FAR from a Great Bib!
I cycle & race just over 6,000 miles a year, and have been doing so for the past 15 years. Most of my training rides range between 40 to 130 miles per session. So I want very good cycling bibs with a very good padded chamois. I have to admit... I was a little disappointed with this cycling bib. Starting with the chamois. The padding was horrible. It felt like they had just stuck a standard sponge inside, stitched it up and called it good. Are you kidding me?? You can pinch it with your fingers and there is little to no resistance at all. Some of my worst bibs have better padding than this... And they were FAR cheaper than these. This to me is a HUGE issue. The chamois is the single point of contact between you, the bib and the bike... and if your planning on a long ride in the saddle, I'm not sure what type of protection they were thinking this would provide after 5+ hours in the saddle. Ouch! The other issue I had with these was the sizing chart is WAY off. According to the sizing chart they provide, I fall within the medium size. In fact... according to the chart, it indicated that the medium size would be just a tad too big for me. But when I got them, I could barley fit them over my legs. It felt like it was kid size. I was able to get it on, but was very fearful that I was going to tear something doing so. The shoulder straps were pressing down hard against my neck. I thought... what the heck? did I order the wrong size?? So I checked the sizing chart... and nope, I got the right size. But by the feel of it, I probably should have went with a Large, or Extra Large. (My waist is a 32", chest is 39" and hips are 37"). But if I had to order these again, I would do the XL... just to be safe.Also... not sure what they mean by "reflective fabric"? There are only two areas that are reflective... both of which are the Pearl Izumi logos. And they aren't all that big haha. Sooooo.... yeah. I guess that is safe? If you're looking at it at the right angle?Overall, I was very disappointed. Obviously this was a free review for me. But if I had paid for these, I'd be sending them back for a refund. I expect more from my cycling equipment. I expect high performance comfort in the chamois for long distance and high intensity riding, and I expect outstanding comfort, fit and function. I did not see that in these bibs. As a cyclist, I would NOT recommend this particular bib.

Good entry-to-mid level bib
Expensive, yes, but even at $100 MSRP it'd be considered on the cheaper end for a bib. The quality is a bit lackluster, and I imagine it will fall apart sooner than later.I usually worry that my bibs will pill up and wear through in the area that contacts the saddle. Here, I'm concerned that the edging will easily separate, rip, and that's the end. Somehow PI manages to have the upper torso as a single flat panel of material, with no edging seams. Reinforcement in these areas seem like a must (lots of stretching, and these are meant to ride tight), so I'm not sure about the logic of durability is a factor. Not having seams does make for a comfortable feel though. The chamois gets a passing grade from me. I've used much less padded bibs before. Note that only the back (rump area) has sufficient padding, with the front being a very thin layer. Feels just fine after a 20+ mile ride.As with most every pearl izumi riding garment, size up (unless you like them to ride tight). A good bib should be a tight fit though, so I'm okay with it in this instance (but not for their jackets, for example). These will size slightly smaller and tighter than your similarly sized rapha alternative. I have a 28/29 waist, and the small was suitable (if slightly tighter than usual).I am pleased overall, but time will tell how durable this will be due to interesting construction choices. If it can last two seasons of normal riding without falling apart (as more expensive alternatives tend to do), I will be thrilled.

Chamois pad is thinner I expected
For a great brand that I use frequently, this bib does not meet my expectations. Particularly, the chamois is thinner than any I have used in the past decade or two. It did not look stitched onto the outer fabric like their others either. As I normally ride 30-40 miles, I need more padding. These will be used for my shorter rides.I do have to say, they did get the sizing right. I normally take a large, and these fit snug (which I like) but not too tight anywhere. The top part straps are laser cut so there is no bulk or hemming of the edges. A bit awkward for me at first but I will get used to it.So although ok, I do think there are better options out there.
