It came well-packed and healthy, and I’m excited to see it grow and hopefully produce fruit soon. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ VERY GOOD *by P***Y on 30 October 2024* Malabar tamarind, also known as kudampuli or Garcinia cambogia, is a tropical fruit native to India and Southeast Asia. It is widely used in South Indian and Sri Lankan cooking, especially in fish curries, to add a tangy, slightly smoky flavor. The fruit resembles a small pumpkin and is typically dried and used as a souring agent in cooking. Rich in hydroxycitric acid (HCA), it is also marketed as a weight-loss supplement, though scientific evidence on its effectiveness remains inconclusive. In traditional medicine, kudampuli has been used to aid digestion, reduce cholesterol, and manage diabetes. ## Frequently Bought Together - Hug A Plant | Malabar Tamarind/Kudampuli (Garcinia cambogia) Fruit Live Plant (Home & Garden) - Creative Farmer Fruit Live Plant Grafted Rare Exotic Syzygium Cumini (Jambolan/Java Plum/Black Plum/Jamun/Njaval) - High Yield Hybrid Herbal Plum/Jamun) Medicinal (1 Live Fruit Plant) - Hug A Plant | Changing Rose/The Confederate Rose (Hibiscus mutabilis) Flowering/Ornamental Live Plant (Home & Garden) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/608574697-hug-a-plant-malabar-tamarind-kudampuli-garcinia-cambogia-fruit-live](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/608574697-hug-a-plant-malabar-tamarind-kudampuli-garcinia-cambogia-fruit-live) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
