Purchased to replace broken original cord and to save space during travel. No issues. I leave the original Apple cord and home under desk and travel with this one. Make sure to purchase a power brick with the right wattage to power whatever device you are using - laptops require more than mobile phones.

The first came “worked” but I didn’t realize the USB C port was so loose that I thought oh only certain chargers work for this cable. At some point all chargers & batteries quit working so I bought a second cable since after rereading all the reviews everyone said this thing worked as expected. New cable arrived and I do the same test but this time no matter where I plugged it into, the laptop started charging. So if your cable doesn’t work the second you plug it into a 65W+ charger then order another cable. Trust me nothing more annoying then having a defective product you didn’t realize was defective. Someone said it almost like Apple made it themselves or Apple quality. Believe me, it’s not. It’s above average but doesn’t have that premium feel.

This product is great. It lets you bridge the old and the new. From the past (a really old mac) to a the present (a modern usb-c after market third-party USB PD charger dohicky. Enjoy your charging wire! It's a great thing to have. Like, you could use it as a clothes line if you wanted, but that probably wouldn't work well. It's a good charging wire, though. It's longer than you expect. It has a neato velcro thing for coiling the sheet, etc. It fits inside the universe. Good luck!

This worked just fine for about 7 months and then completely stopped charging so I had to switch back to the old charger. I would recommend purchasing a charger with more reviews as this one was pretty disappointing. The old charger I had, was used for years before it started having issues.

First off, I gotta remark on how well this cable was designed -- it looks exactly like something Apple would make, right down to the texture of the cable jacket. The weight and rigidity of the cable, as well as the strain reliefs at each end, are also identical to Apple's. But it's not looks that are important, but function: and so far, it works perfectly with my old 17" MacBook Pro (the last one they made in 2011). I bought this so I could power my MacBook via USB-C power bank (an Anker Prime 27,650mAh with 140W output) instead of having to be tied to a wall outlet. The first USB-C PD adapter I used this cable with (capable of supplying 100W), the LED kept flashing on and off, and the computer kept showing charging, unplugged, charging, unplugged, and so on. I assumed it was the cable at first, but then I tried it on another USB-C PD adapter, and it worked fine. So if your cable blinks on and off like this, it's not a bad cable, it must be some "confusion" with the PD circuit trying to negotiate the voltage output -- just try another power adapter. And make sure it's one of the large ones that are explicitly labeled "PD" (just because it has a USB-C jack doesn't mean it's the same thing). I've been using this for a few weeks, now, and it has proven to be a very good buy.
