Okay. It is difficult for guys to buy things for girlfriends, wives, and ladies in general. Not saying that women are picky (they are) but it's more a case of a guy not having a clue as to whether the pretty little odd and/or end he picks for a birthday or other minor-occasion gift will actually be enjoyed, because women are classy enough to tell you that they love whatever you got them, even if they don't ... unless it's a vacuum cleaner, in which case you'll know where you stand immediately (don't EVER attempt that, by the way, at least not for Christmas or an anniversary. It will not end well.) But a friend bought his girlfriend one of these faux Faberge things, his g/f liked the color green, and she went giddy over it because it was girly and fancy-looking, and she could put expensive earrings in it or whatever. Well, I bought one for a Lady I know and she was just as tickled, or genuinely seemed to be. It was surprisingly well-made for the money (i.e. looks a lot more expensive than the price) and I did open it to check it out, and also to put it in a fancier box with a ribbon. You'll want to do that, too, because it arrives in a bland little white cardboard box w/ styrofoam packaging. But the quality is really impressive. Tell your girl it's something you wanted to get her because she deserves pretty things and maybe she can keep some jewelry in it. Better yet, put a piece of jewelry in when you give it to her and, I guarantee, you won't find yourself in the doghouse for any infraction for at least a month. And we all want to live in a happier world. Seriously. She deserves it, and if you buy it, this is one gift you can truly say that you put some thought into. Obviously, she has to be a Lady who likes girly trinkets and gift-boxes and such, but if she does, you'll get high marks.

The media could not be loaded. The Carl Fabrage collection that was on loan at the Metropolitan Musuem of Art was always one of my favorite exhibitions when I worked there. This replica is an exceedingly adequate homage if you favor the decorative arts as much as I do. Bravo, Toscano!

Wow this is insane! I'm so beyond happy that I bought this. My wedding is coming up and I thought that this would be great to give my sister and hide a piece of jewelry inside for her on my big day. It is beyond words beautiful. The top where it opens doesn't wobble it is beautifully crafted and very heavy and sturdy! I am in love with this piece. I wish I could say the same from the other companies that I bought smaller ones from because they were horrid! But this one..... PERFECT. I promise if you buy this one you will be in love and it will ruin any other Egg that you have bought. Absolutely jealous this is going to my sister and not me lol

I gave it as a gift so my review is of no import, but my daughter in law wrote a very long note explaining how well made, beautiful, and how much she loved them...so they must be pretty nice.

I've always loved Faberge eggs and have never owned a facsimile. These eggs are beautiful and well made. I'm very pleased with them and was also very surprised at the quality. They feel substantial and look beautiful.
