Lovely lemon
Preferred brand. I’ve tried several different items like this and this one is my go to. It easily dissolves into my beverage.

Pantry staple
This has become a staple for me. I add a spoonful to fresh pressed juice or dressings. Wherever I need lemon. Shelf stable and all the work is done for me. So easy.

Buy another brand
I had to use a TON of this stuff to even taste lemon in my lemonade. My kiddos love the lemonade I make with lemon powder. This specific powder, though, has almost no flavor. Definitely not worth the cost. I regret buying this one and should have instead stuck with the other brand.

process quality issue?
Reviews seem pretty split on this product. Wondering if it's a production quality issue, or a use issue. I'm using this as a 1 to 1 replacement for lemon juice in sore throat tea. There's no mixing ratio indicated on the packaging, or anywhere else that I can find officially from Anthony's. I guesstimated based on other lemon powders I've used, roughly 2 g powder to 30 g water. I had to laugh when I taste tested the first mix, before I added it to the tea, it tasted like the lemon flavoring in theraflu. was not expecting it to taste like medicine before I mixed it into the medicine!for the second cup i made it much stronger, 4 g powder to 30 g water, and added 1/4 tsp citric acid. The citric acid seemed to help more than the concentration, but overall was much more real lemon like.lastly i'm baffled at the prop65 warning that seems to be on all of Anthony's freeze-dried products. what is the equipment doing that it's dosing food in potential lead, cadmium, and arsenic?!i probably won't finish this bag. when i'm able to go to the store I'll buy the usual brand of lemon powder i normally get.

Okay, I think
My biggest issue is that the usage instructions aren't on the package. Or on the company's website? So... Less than handy. Thus the reduced star rating. Also, how to replace the juice of one lemon? Is that 1/4 cup?Not sure about the "tangy" comments. Those would indicate that the citric acid is lost or modified in processing.Might do a PH test since they've made me curious. Although, reduced acid might actually be a plus for some things.Haven't done it yet, but bought this to make paneer without having to have lemons on hand. If the acid content is reduced, it might not work. That'll determine if I will repurchase.
