I purchased the wash mitt instead of the towel version. Although the wash mitt is smaller in size (6"x8.7" vs. 12"x12"), it is a lot cheaper and both are essentially the same material and serves the same purpose. The mitt design also seemed more functional and despite its smaller size, it is completely adequate.This product has significantly cut down time detailing my car and seems to work just as effectively versus a conventional clay bar. The initial investment cost may be higher, but considering its practicality (easier to work with and much quicker) and longer lifespan, I think this is a great choice for anyone looking to detail their cars. And after using the mitt, make sure to apply a nice coat of wax to protect the paint (such as Collinite 845).Despite being advertised as a "wash mitt", make sure the car is clean. If not, I recommend washing the car first before using this mitt. And make sure to use PLENTY of lubricant as "marring" may occur. This also works great at decontaminating windshield/glass before applying rain repellents such as Rain-X. I saw this product on You Tube when I was researching Clay Barring my car. It's a little more expensive than similar products, but boy was it worth it. The paint on my 2020 Equinox felt like sand paper. Using this product eliminated all the contaminates baked into the paint. My car has never looked so good. If you're a car guy this is the product for you. You will not be disappointed.

THINGS TO KNOW:First thing to know is that this product is totally safe to use on your paint. I was leary about the thought of dragging a big rubbery surface across my paint, being skeptical about it being as safe as a traditional clay bar.The microfiber side works well as a basic wash mitt and the foam material inside retains a lot of your soap mixture to keep things nice and slippery.PROS:- by far the fastest way to get a regular soap clean and clay follow-up- both sides work well for their intended purpose. Having both in one product is genius.- size seems appropriate. I generally wear large sized gloves and it's a comfortable fit for my hand. I feel like I can easily take advantage of the whole surface without any fuss.- the mitt design makes the "clay" side easily stay in place (it doesn't drag and rotate around your hand) and you can also feel when the contaminants have been picked up as the strokes start to feel smoother with each pass.- cleaning off the clay side is easy - just dump it in a bucket or hose it down with water or soap mix.- promises to last a long time - we'll see.CONS:- I truely cannot find anything to complain about so far. I've done two cars, one of which was very neglected, and this was a joy to use.HOW I USE IT:I use a foam sprayer similar to the "Gilmour 75QGFMR Foamaster Adjustable Multi Ratio Cleaning Gun" in one hand, and the mitt in the other. As I hose the car down with the soap mixture, I follow right behind with the microfiber side of the mitt. I do this one panel at a time. When the panel is clean, I follow with more soap mix and use the clay side of the mitt till it's free of contaminants. I follow this method for the entire car, rinsing the clay side after each panel and do a final water-only rinse of the whole car before drying.There it is - you've just cleaned and clayed the car without a bucket, without a "detail spray lubricant", and in record time. Your now free to go about your polishing routine.CONCLUSION:Buy this product! If you want the flawless surface that only a clay bar can provide but hate the time consuming hassle of using one, then this is the perfect product for you. You will not be disappointed.

I am so glad that I decided to give a clay mitt a try. I did not like how hard it was to use a clay bar on my SUV. After having surgeries on both hands things are a bit more difficult to do these days. Along came this clay mitt & my world changed. The ease of use & no longer having to grip the tiny clay bar. I am not a professional detailer, just a hobbyist that like his vehicles to look sharp all the time. This product has made that just a little bit easier now.

I will never go back to using regular clay bar. This item is expensive but it works, is reusable and makes claying a car super easy and fast. Use with your favorite spray lube.

Was strange to use at first, I'm so used to using clay - so I took additional time with this mitt to get the hang of it. Works pretty much the same way, you can "hear" the contamination through every pass. After doing one panel of my car very slowly, the rest of my car went by very quickly. I didn't use the wash mitt part of the glove, seeing as I have my own quality ones, but I would recommend this product over clay. No need for lubrication either - soap up a panel at a time, dunk the clay mitt in soapy water, clay mitt the panel, rinse the soap off, and move on to the next panel. Good stuff.
