Buy this knife! One of the best bargains you can get.
I have over 50 knives. About half are budget knives and the other half are expensive name brand knives. This knife stands among the best that I have and is nearly perfect. The flipper action is smooth, light and quick. The whole pivoting action is nearly frictionless (or so it seems) and it seems to fall open or fall closed with very little effort. The lockup in the closed and open position is solid and which provides confidence that it is very safe for forceful cutting. The blade length and the overall size is perfect for 99.9999% of my needs. Honestly, most knives that are marketed as "EDC" are simply way too big for me. I don't fight grizzly bears in my living room or yard and I don't need an 8"-9" knife for normal tasks. Hunting, fishing and camping are different use cases. It slips into the pocket and gets lost with the keys which is what I want. I carried a Kershaw Leek for 15+ years in my pocket and its similar. Another fantastic thing is the blade, it's D2 which can be sharpened to a tough razors edge and the blade is "meaty" (thick from edge to spine) which means I can resharpen it a few thousand times. This is a knife that you can use for 15 years before you've worn it out and it will put a smile on your face every time you use it. I would add one thing to the knife to make it better and that is a mechanical blade lock in the closed position like a sliding lever or button since I don't like pocket clips and took it off the knife. But this is a minor quibble to a knife that is simply one of the best. This knife punches way above it's price and is a true bargain.

This knife is a workhorse. ๐ฏ
Holy crap, this was honestly one of the sharpest knives out of the box I've ever had! It's held it's edge incredibly well in the few months I've had it, with pretty substantial daily use including tasks like cutting boxes, cleaning up 3D prints, cutting paracord, etc. The micarta scales are nice and grippy, almost to the point of being uncomfortable when you squeeze your grip really tightly, but not quite. The knife is well balanced when open, and I love the size and blade geometry. It's a compact and slim knife, which rides well in the pocket but allows you to grab other items without fighting with it. The blade springs open quite nicely and locks VERY securely in place, yet closes with an easy push of the locking lever. It took me a little time getting used to the clip orientation in relation to the flipper tab, since it's opposite of my previous knife, but that's simply a design difference. The pivot at the flipper would get in the way of the screws for the clip if you tried to design it differently, which limits the ability to flip the orientation vertically (flipper up vs down in your pocket). That said, the scales could be redesigned so the clip could be flipped to the opposite scale, but on the same end of the knife. This would allow you to change pockets but keep the flipper orientation the same (front or back). Overall, for a $20 knife, you're not going to go wrong!

Great knife!
What a great little knife! I read in some other reviews that the clip wasn't great and a couple people reported the blade opening in their pocket. That's not the case with the one I received today. It's sharp enough to shave with, the clip is sturdy, and it's stiff enough to not open in my pocket but loose enough to flip open without using to much force. It's the perfect size for my EDC and the handle material is grippy while still slipping out of my pocket with ease.

Very nice little pocket knife
This is a solid pocket knife. Just about perfect in size. I love the look of the green handles. The blade flips out well and has a confident close. It's not surgical sharp, but plenty sharp for edc. No wobble and nothing about it seems flimsy or cheap. The weight is very good and the clip as been holding up well with jeans.....for the past month. I would recommend this knife if you find the looks appealing.

Good gentleman's knife.
This Olitans G040 is a good knife. It's light, solidly built, and fits comfortably in a pocket. I would call it more of a gentleman's knife than an EDC. It's smaller in size, but perfect for those times when a larger knife would be too much, such as out at a nice dinner, at church, at a wedding, etc. The blade is a spear point profile made from D2 tool steel. It measures 3/32"/2.2mm in thickness, 2-3/4"/70mm in length, giving the knife an overall closed length of 3-5/8"/92mm. The weight comes in at 60g. The handle scales are made of G10, but the texture feels closer to that of canvas micarta, albeit without the associated warmth. I'm also very partial to the olive drab color. It's a comfortable knife to hold, even at its smaller size. The flipper stud is positioned well and opens the blade quickly. The linerlock engages fully and feels secure. The liners are black PVD coated. All hardware is also black. There is a lanyard hole and a non-reversible deep carry pocket clip. Overall, I do like this knife. The dimensions and weight are perfect for a pocket. The clip seems a little thin for clip carry, however. I will probably remove it completely. As I mentioned earlier, I would not use this as an EDC knife. It's just too small for that. But if you're like me and always carry a knife on you, it's great for opening boxes, mail, prying out batteries, cleaning fingernails, etc. And at the price point, it's an absolute steal!

Outstanding pocket knife.
I'm extremely happy with this purchase. There's far more value here for the money than what you're paying. It arrived this morning and I've had it for about 3 hours and I went back and purchased two more of them. I think the manufacturing and the finish of these is exceptional. We'll see if the black finish holds up and if it does then this is an outstanding product. It's the perfect size for pocket carry. I actually took the pocket clip off of this one and it works perfect.
