It was like a miracle
I have a cat with a sensitive stomach that can sneak and eat some of her sister's food (a different brand) and immediately get diarrhea the next day and it is hard to get rid of. I mix this in her food and it stops it. I first was introduced to it when my cats got tried some raw type canned food and both became ill with fevers, vomiting and diarrhea. The vet prescribed Hills I/D and the Fortiflora mixed with it. It was like a miracle. I had tried everything before taking them to the vet. Within a day this took care of it. After my sensitive cat ate some of her sister's food and got diarrhea again. I used this and it worked. I now mix it with her food on a daily basis and it keeps her with a solid stool. If she starts with the vomiting I switch back to the Hill's I/D with the Fortiflora mixed in and the vomiting stops also. After a few days I switch her back to her regular food with the Fortiflora added to it. I don't care for Purina products but these two do the trick. If a cat vomits or has diarrhea all the time they are going to have dehydration that can be life threatening and what good is food with the best ingredients if they throw it up. I would rather use these two products (even though I don't like the ingredients) if it keeps her food in her and settles her stomach till I can get her back on track eating her regular food. I am glad I found both products on Amazon.

A lifesaver for my cat
This is a great product to have on hand for vet emergencies when your cat is put on antibiotics. Our cat was put on the long acting antibiotic Convenia. This cured the infection situation, but then my cat would not eat or drink at all. He was becoming dehydrated and I had to hand feed syringes of baby food, turkey or chicken mixed with fortiflora and water to keep him from getting worse. Because Convenia stays in the system for up to 60 days, he is still getting fortiflora in his food. The cat recovered after about a ten day period of syringe feeding and now gets the fortiflora about a 1/3 to half a packet as a top dressing with brewers yeast flakes on his canned food. He is fully recovered and eating and drinking normally. I use it morning and evening now. When he was real sick, I gave a little part of one packet in each syringe, 4 times a day. It made the difference in keeping him alive and bringing him around. Beware of antibiotics, especially these new ones, they do a number on the digestive system and can do more harm than good. I was really worried my cat was going to waste away until I got his gut turned around with this product. I wish our vet had given him this to take home after they dosed him with Convenia. I did an emergency overnight order to save him. Have it on hand, you just never know when a vet emergency will happen.

Has helped my cat with fur balls!
My nearly 8 year old boy was having issues with throwing up every week, sometimes more. Now he hardly throws up. I put him on this and Resvantage, but I think it’s most likely this that’s causing him to digest better. He’s been on it 6 months and throws up now just about every 6 weeks. The three pack is a great value, and I also use it for my other cat, a 9 year old female, if she won’t eat something. Both cats go crazy for the taste! She is more hesitant to finish food in general, so if there’s half left and I sprinkle 1/2 a pack on top, she finishes fast! That’s amazing in itself.

It's good stuff
My cat has severe, chronic, intestinal issues and kidney failure. Adding this probiotic to her food made dealing with the strong antibiotics easier. If I get to her early enough with this, I don't have to resort to Flagyl for her diarrhea. And this is 1/3 the price I pay at the vet! A plus is that it is also a flavor enhancer. So if your cat is not eating, sprinkle a little bit on top of the food. You won't need to use a whole packet for that, but it's good to know. I am almost out and will buy again. One of the things I liked was that when I bought it, the expiration date was almost 6 months away. This means good stuff at a good price, and not a "short sale."

Love FortiFlora
My vet told me of this product for getting a cat to eat, and I dubiously tried it, since it is not designed for that purpose. I bought the first box from him, and then switched to Amazon because it is $10 cheaper per 30-day supply. Amazingly, the product works. My little kitty is 18-1/2 years old. She is deaf, she has a heart murmur, rapid heartbeat, hyperthyroidism, bad teeth, and little sense of smell left. Getting her to eat was a big problem. The vet told me that this product would get her to eat. FortiFlora is basically the probiotics found in yogurt fortified with flavor enhancers for cats. So I did not think it would work for hyperthyroidism. But I was wrong. My cat gobbles down her food with this on top. She would not eat. She was (and still is) underweight (hyperthyroidism). She is on meds, and I had tried many kinds of cat food, gravy that promised to make the cat eat, and even expensive salmon oil. Yet she looks like one of those starving cats you see in the ads from the Humane Society asking for money. The other stuff did not work. Although this product is odorless to me, my cat apparently smells something. She was so hungry when I first tried the product that she ate an entire can of cat food at one eating.

Helped 2 Old Men with GI Issues
My wife and I adopted the two oldest cats (14-16 years old) at the shelter that we could find. Old animals still have plenty of life and love to give. Both cats appeared to have been outdoor cats for a good portion of their lives. As a result, both have GI issues. Offering this daily has helped even out their digestion and helped cut down on runny poops. The flavor alone makes them want to devour anything we put it on, so I'd say it's a good appetite stimulant as well. It's not a panacea. One cat seems to be normal now that he's had a couple months of treatment with this and a clean, indoor-only diet. However, the other old man still has GI issues now and then, which appear to be the symptom of deeper medical issues. Overall, I say this has contributed to healing and he's better off with it than without it.

Arrived at my door in less than 36 hours. Expiry date is March 2018. Great job! I've been using this product for over 6 months under the advice of my vet. This is simply a cheaper source. This stuff is a medication, it's not meant to make your cats bowel movement smell less. It does have specific uses. Here's my story: had one of my cats since he was about a month old from the humane Society. He had a massive worm infestation. He was successfully treated, but suffered intestional damage and growth was stunted. Due to this he's always suffered from hairballs but wasn't bad enough to treat continually. Fast forward 7 years. His condition got worse. Standard hairball treatments were ineffective. He started losing his appetite and weight. This was getting very serious, he was vomiting at least once a day. A smart vet prescribed fortiflora. Took about a month and a half, but it cured him. He's gained his weight back, eating well and has more energy. Vet suggested taking him off the stuff once he got the chance for his system to get working again, but that resulted in regression. Instead he gets half of the package per day (also vet instructions). Couldn't be happier and neither could my furry friend!

Helped my kids to normalize their tummy after they started having diarrhea from the hairball drops (to this day it's unknown if they were the cause, but we think so). Keep in mind that you'll need to give Fortiflora on a daily basis and no more than 1 sachet per day (preferably at the same time). Just add it on top of their food and you're good to go. You'll probably need to give it for a month or so (2 months in our case), so consult with your vet. Our vet said that Fortiflora is so safe that it wouldn't be the end of the world if we had to give it to them for the rest of their lives. Thankfully they got better and no more diarhhea (knock on the wood). Stay healthy!

These were cheaper than purchasing from the Vet. We have to use of the packet a little at time as the cat does not like too much on his food.

Like a vitamin, you hope that this product works. Having a cat with IBS, we use this as a supplement and while it hasn't totally fixing the problem, it seems to be helping. If ordering from Amazon, watch out for who supplies this product. If it is Canada4sale, they seem to deal in short dated product. So do not order more than 3 months ahead. Ordered once from EntirelyPets CA, and the product had 18 months dating. The only issue was that it came from the U.S. and I was charged double GST and had to get a refund from Amazon, which they were not happy about
