Don't use in a terrarium with a fogger
Water accumulates really easily in this thing and doesn't evaporate very quick due to the lid, so it can get super gross REAL quick if you use a fogger so keep that in mind!

Happy with it
We were having trouble with many of the mealworms escaping from our first feeder dish recently. Not sure if they were getting knocked out by the gecko or climbing out or both since some were on the smaller side. I had never seen any like this and figured it couldnt hurt to try it. Reviews seemd mixed on things still being able to get out or not so possible it depends on the size of dish (we bought the medium) or just the fit of the lid. This dish seems very sturdy, the lid is slighting loose fitting but not enough to get knocked out or for anything to climb through though anywhere. It arrived on time and in its original package, no damage anywhere. No mealworms have escaped it so far so I say it was worth it.

Nice concept, but..
This is great for tiny meal worms, but the large ones climbed out easily.

Replacement After 10 Years
The worm dish was literally the best food dish for my insect eating lizard. I got this as a replacement after my bowl's top hit the floor and cracked. Mind you my last mealworm bowl I've had for almost 10 years. Also the Amazon deal was just too good to resist. It holds more than just mealworms. I've thrown in superworms, waxworms, and even tomato hornworms in the bowl and never had an escape issue. I will warn you though, from my experiences, certain reptiles may need a few days to adjust to this bowl since the upper ring almost hides the bugs. If that happens I just throw in a few small mealworms without the ring and once the reptile gets it's first snack, they will usually get the concept and will start eating with the ring on the bowl. Overall it's probably the best food bowl I've ever owned and since it's made of a stone-like material, it's not as easily knocked over compared to the cheap plastic worm dishes. Here's to another 10 years of worm feeding!

Removable Top was a bad idea.
Alright. The concept is great. The lip comes out enough where they fall over getting out. The issue, the top is loose. It's meant to remove so you can clean it. But the problem here is small feeders such as bsfl can easily squeeze through. Within an hour I had many crawling around his tank which is what I was aiming to prevent. So this is what I did, I used a hot glue gun and sealed it from the inside, and then coated the outside edges so they can not escape. I give Exoterra 4 stars because the concept was great. But I will say this. Use ceramic coating on the inside to clean easier, and seal the top instead of making it removable. Problem solved.

Good, not great
This is a good dish for keeping little worms in the dish. The main thing I wanted, so well done. It is a little bigger than it seems it would be, even after visualizing the measurements. My leopard gecko has to put a foot in it to get all the worms, no big deal. I buried it in the substrate so it wouldn't take up soo much room, visually. The color was lighter in person than on my monitor. The main reason for four stars instead of five is that top lip is removable and doesn't fit 100% correctly, more like 80%. I would not be surprised if some worms were able to escape or hide where the lip doesn't fully meet the dish.

Awesome feeder dish!
This feeder dish is amazing!!!! I used to have to drop the worms into my bearded dragon's tank every day and wait for him to eat them so I could pick them back out but not anymore! Some worms have escaped, only 2, however I have had these super worms for awhile and they are quite large. So it doesn't really surprise my that they managed to find a way out. However even with the couple of escapees it is still worth it, and my bearded dragon figured out where the worms were right away.Just take a look around your beardies tank when you collect their food dishes at the end of the day to catch any escape artists (if you are using large worms, smaller worms like phoenix worms, and medium sized super worms shouldn't escape) and you shouldn't have any problems. This dish will definitely make your life easier.

Great superworm feeder for Bearded Dragons
I use this bowl to feed superworms to my beardie. I used to put the worms in a shallow bowl and they kept trying to crawl out before I would put it in my beardie's tank which I got tired of so I tried this product. I can now put as many superworms in this feeder as I want, and none of them escape...at least not right away. Some of them still do get out, but I'm talking one or two over the course of two days, and that's if I load this thing up with 10+ worms. My beardie doesn't seem to have any issues with it, she figured it out right away. She likes to get at it from an elevated position like from a rock or branch.Great product, highly recommend to contain those worm escape artists.

My beardies love this, No more escaping worms
My beardies love this, No more escaping worms. It took them seconds to figure out what it was and they have no problem feeding from this, the hole in the lid is not too small for them (they are pretty big dragons)
