Happy halogen lightbulbs are still available as they are, in my opinion, the best lamps for reading. Very bright. A little difficult to Install sometimes, but you have to remember not to touch the bulb with your bare fingers, hold in a cloth while installing. Usually last a long time. Bulbs arrived quickly, and there should be enough for years based on past history. What order again when needed.

They can work normally with perfect dimming and the price is more suitable, I really like this product.

The every 3 month halogen lamp. Two down, three to go -- on the money must replace every three months. TYPICAL -- AM/CCP JUNK MANURE! Update: now averaging only a 1-1/2 months.

I have bought many of these lamps, and summed up the experience. When you install it, you must clean your hands, and prevent the grease and dust on your hands from contaminating the interfaces on both sides. In this case, the life of the lamp will be longer!

These bulbs are intended for use in exterior (but enclosed) light fixtures. There are several Asian-produced versions of these lights - mostly from China. They are relatively inexpensive and are easy to install and replace as necessary. The biggest problem is that they don't give you any warning when they break (thin wire inside glass overheats or does not manage hot or cold weather very well - and then snaps.) All of the versions sold by Amazon are similar and possibly all come from the same factory somewhere in Asia. My suggestion is to go ahead and buy these lights for your exterior needs, but buy at least two or three boxes of them each time you order. In both cold or hot climates (I live in Oregon USA) will have more to do with how long they last - especially during the cold winter months. They are very cheap, so pick a brand and see how long they last. If they die too quickly, try another equivalent brand and see if they last longer. The real problem with these is that most of the light systems that use them can be quite awkward to work on because of the large glass external covers that are common to almost all systems. And buy them from Amazon - a couple of packages or more at a time. They are cheaper and last just as long as those you'd buy at a local hardware store.

Needed the bulbs for bathroom vanity lights. No stores carried them. Found them on Amazon! One was broken, tho
