Fit perfectly on my Mossberg 500 and installing it was a breeze. easy DIY instructions with very good build quality. nothing, not even the heavy 12g recoil is going to drop those shells.

Updated reviewThe seller contacted me immediately after I posted my first review. They are working on addressing the issue with the length of the receiver screw. It seems that my 590 is an older style which had a thicker receiver body, hence the need for a slightly longer screw.All in all this is a fantastic saddle! Having an extra 6 rounds at hand is a nice thing to have, especially with a home defense gun like this. It adds negligible weight, and really does nothing to change the balance of the gun in any shooting stance. The rounds are nicely kept at easy reach, but don't hinder the action or reloading of the weapon whatsoever.A+ for the design, and an extra A+ for the seller who wanted to contact me and work with me to make sure I was happy with the product!Also, if the screw for the receiver is too short, I was able to replace mine with one from a holster making kit that worked perfectly. This seems to be a problem with older 590s like mine. Saddle is definitely worth having even if you do have to do some work around for the screw.

Countersink screws started to back out after about 150 shells through my shotgun. The threaded pin that replaces the stock trigger assembly pin threads into the mounting plate, then the carrier screws onto the plate. This makes for a pain in the rear end when I want to break the shotgun all the way down and remove the trigger assembly for cleaning. The six countersink screws and the outer plate have to be removed to remove the pin.

Really liked it but it came missing 2 of 6 mounting screws. Fit my Mossberg 590 well and looked good.Seller was very helpful. Returning and reordering.

Looks great fits well. One thing dont over tighten the screw that the pin came out of cuz u wont be about to cock back. Other that works awsome. I just added lock tight so we see how or if it comes loose

“Requires no alteration in most cases”. I have a Mossberg 500 with wood stock and forend and the forend won’t slide past the plate. Guess I didn’t read the “in most cases” part. The only alteration would be to replace the forend. Seems like it’s well made. In the instructions it says “some field grade shotguns” may require alteration.

Originally got a TacStar version that was rubber and nearly impossible to put shells in/out. This one, not the other hand...PERFECT. 100% recommend!!
