I am so happy I fought my inclination to be cheap and spent an extra few bucks for this shea butter from this seller. This stuff is the real deal. No rancid smell, it isn't bleached white, it isn't weirdly soft. It smells divine, like fresh cashew butter and earth. It leaves your skin feeling soft but not greasy.I use shea for tons of useful things, like... To remove waterproof eye makeup. Smear it around, let it set a while, then wipe your makeup off. It totally melts the most hardcore waterproof mascara and eyeliner without stripping your skin, without being irritating, and with the added moisturizing benefit. The best.The most effective night cream in the universe. Gently melt some, add a bit of aloe gel, whip til solid. Win.Burn salve. Half shea, half aloe, generous dashes of tea tree oil. Heals the burn, keeps the skin soft and pliable, and is antiseptic. No more painful scabs and it greatly accelerates healing. Miraculous.Melt and mix 50/50 with your favorite natural oil to make a spreadable lotion. Suck it, dry itchy skin.Use it to make lip balm and perfume sticks; use it straight up on elbows and callouses, on rashy baby butts. Work into your hair for a deep conditioning treatment. It's safe to use on and around pets. I purchased this to use in a recipe for shave oil for my husband. It arrived just as in the photo, in a white poly bag with a rectangular chunk of solid (but soft) shea butter slightly off white. I was able to slice a piece off easily and melt it into my recipe. It has an earthy scent which is to be expected of natural shea butter. I used lavender essential oils to scent the shave oil I was making and it doesn't quite mask the shea scent completely, but I suppose you could add more essential oils or strong ones like patchouli. When I tried using just the shea butter on my hands to test it out, it melted into my skin with just the warmth of my body heat and left a slight oilyness to my hands for a few moments until it was absorbed (less than 5 minutes). My hands felt moisturized and protected and lasted through about 2-3 hand washings with soap. I will definitely be using this in more cosmetic recipes because 1- I have a ton left 2- It was easy to work with in recipes 3- It seems to moisturize well.

I love love love love love this product. My sis and I attended a natural hair show and bought whipped share butter. We started talking and I said I can make this stuff. I ordered this product (it took me a while to choose a product, but I went with this one), mainly because I liked the packaging and other reviews. It arrived soft not really soft but soft enough to put a silicone spoon through and it still have form. I whipped this for 45 minutes with other oils (vitamin e, grape seed, essential oil (for smell), jamican black castor oil, and coconut oil), it is so smooth and silky. Don't put too much on or you will be really oily😄. I have ordered this product twice and will order again.

This product is very high quality. You get what you expect, a nice big chunk of shea butter. The texture is very smooth and creamy, melts very easily. I've been using shea butter for years and make body butters as well. This one has stood out to me as one of the best I have come accross. It smells great and has a natural nutty aroma to it. It blends very well with other oils and essential oils. It seems like its fresh, I live in Hawaii and the product melts much easier but hasn't gone rancid in any way. Sadly when it arrived, due to me being in a hotter climate it was harder to work with and get out of the packaging. I spoke with the company about there packaging, they were extremely helpful on the matter and quickly responded to my needs! very good company to communicate with if you have any questions. Good deal, a lot of shea butters out there are not good!!!! you wont waste your money on this purchase, i assure you its REAL quality shea butter!!!!!

This product is a 10 out of 5! The quality of the actual product is outstanding. I used it in multiple DIY body care projects and as a topical application straight away on a persistent type of dermatitis on my legs, believed to be eczema. After numerous attempted remedies, the issue totally disappeared within an hour of use! I will never be without this product again . A little goes a long way and it leaves my skin silky smooth.I store the unused portion wrapped in a baggie in its original packaging in a kitchen cabinet until needed. Once it is made into a product, I keep refrigerated since I live in a warmer climate region. It does not dry out, nor change consistency or color. A side perk is that each package contains a small metal container that is perfect to keep some of the product in a handbag or for any easy type of access. It will also work perfect as a lip balm container.Also, Customer Service is easily accessible, as I had read in numerous reviews. Do yourself a favor and purchase it if you have a need for Shea Butter.
