Super Blue Liquid Gun Blue - Double Strength for Rifles, Pistols, Revolvers, Shotguns and Other Firearms

Having used many different brands and types of metal bluing materials, this is the best one I have found for simple application and result expectation. There are many reviews online detailing application procedures so I won’t go through that. One of the most important thing to remember is that you are applying a clear coating. The appearance of the initial coat will determine the satisfaction of the final coat. Polish that first coat the best you can and do the same with each following coat. This is a very easy solution to apply and gives a fine bluish tone. 000 steel wool will polish super fine! Get some and wipe it on. 😁

Blued some material very well others it rubbed right off. Not sure if it was my prep work, material or quality of this chemical. Overall would buy again.

Putting together a garage gym with old classic weight plates. High quality steel. Had the idea that after cleaning off all the rust I could blue them. Bought the 32 oz container. It worked great. Whole 140 pounds of weights look gun metal blue. Put WD-40 on them to protect the finish.

TLDR: Follow the directions.The item you cold blue will be noticeably darker after step 9, saturating in oil and leaving to cure over night.Very pleased with this product. I followed the directions exactly. Did about 7 coats. Was a little worried at first after I finished, because it didn't look very dark. But after I sprayed the parts down with oil and let them cure overnight I was fine. I would buy again but I got the big bottle and probably won't have to get more for years.

But goes a long ways. This quart will last rest of my life, 42yo, and own 8 blued guns.

The product is fine but the bottle came with the lid not properly seated and the thin plastic seal weas broken, so the bottle had leaked out some of the product.
