Stainless Steel Biltong Box Food Dehydrator & Drying Cabinet

I recently got the KK11 Biltong Boss, and honestly, it's fantastic. It's super easy to use which is perfect for someone like me who wants things simple. I tried making snapsticks first since they only take 24 hours, and they turned out great!Having this machine makes me feel closer to home. It’s like a little piece of South Africa right in my kitchen, allowing me to have biltong whenever I want. The unit itself is really neat. It fits well in the kitchen and doesn't look out of place at all. It also comes with a recipe book, which is a nice touch, giving you some ideas to get started right away.The KK11 isn’t just for biltong; it has hanging rods and ten trays for making different things like snapsticks, leaves, and wagon wheels. Cleaning up after you're done is super easy too, which is always a plus.All in all, I’m really happy with the Biltong Boss. It's a 5-star product for me, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who loves biltong or is thinking about trying it out for the first time.

Huge fan of Biltong when in CT so took the plunge with this machine after a lot of research/ looking at home made alternatives due to price.Absolutely delighted and have just produced my first ever biltong which is as near to the real thing in SA that I could have hoped for. Time to try further recipes from menu book provided and experiment.Also dehydrated loads of fruit and herbs - everything perfect so far.The machine is simple, easy to use ,looks good and takes up small space in utility. Only buy it if you're going to use it regularly otherwise it could end up next to the nutri bullet and pasta maker somewhere!I'm delighted with this purchase and would recommend it.

This biltong cabinet is so well made and accurate, with everything I need to make my first batch of Biltong. Really easy to set up and operate, even came with a great recipe book for Biltong, jerky, etc. I’m looking forward to trying other recipes now, especially the sweet and spicy bacon jerky.The price is quite expensive, but I’m glad we bought this one as it makes things very easy.Update 11/8/24… you must try the Bacon Jerky in the included recipe booklet (back page) . It’s absolutely DELICIOUS!

Does what it says on the tin.Already used to dehydrate fruit and made a delicious batch of droeworsI have no issue with the timer being 24 hours as I personally would check on the contents daily anyway and it is 2 seconds to set again.Highly recommended.

Great machine works well. Dropped to a 4 star as I can only set the timer for 24hours. I would rather just set it for a number of days rather than having to pop down every day to reset the timer. It’s a real flaw as I tend to travel and can’t come back to freshly made Biltong-. The other issue is that I keep eating bits every 24 hours and when’s it dehydrated to the level I want most of it’s gone! I have no will power when it comes to biltong……the device does the job well though…perfect batches every time….

Absolutely blown away by this biltong chamber! The delivery was lightning-fast, arriving within a day. Everything you need is included, making the setup a breeze. I sliced some silverside as per the recipe book and instructions, and the result? The tastiest snapsticks ever! Highly recommend for biltong enthusiasts! Now for my Biltong slabs…

Delivery was quick. Easy to do the little bit of assembly that is needed. Easy to use. Just tasted the first batch of biltong made out of Kalahari Khabu's own recipe book. It is brilliant! Definitely recommend.

This was definitely an investment, but I did my research and I’m very happy with the product. I’ve made biltong, dog treat treats and dehydrated fruit. It’s a super quiet machine and very reliable.

Brilliant product for biltong lovers, and those who want to dehydrate other things (although why would you want to distract from making biltong! HA!) My South African hubby has been searching for a biltong box for years, and when we found the Kalahari, we pushed "buy" immediately. It arrived quickly, we assembled it and within a few days had our first batch of delicious biltong.PROS:1. Countertop sized, and still holds about 5 lbs of meat.2. They include 10 drying racks for other items (again.....distracting from biltong, but you-do-you!)3. Biltong hooks are included, as is a handy recipe book4. It's QUIET. Barely know it's there5. It stays cool to the touch, which means it can be placed anywhere6. Did a beautiful job drying our biltong in a clean, temperature-controlled environment with constant airflow7. Drip tray makes cleanup easy. A lot of spices fall off during the drying process and it would be a pain to vacuum them out. A good trip tray made it easy8. Controls are intuitive and easy to useSUGGESTIONS:1. It would be helpful if the makers included a "Quick Set-Up" guide. A few things had us guessing when we put the machine together. We figured it out, but some instructions would've been nice.That's it! Go forth, buy this wonderful machine and get busy making biltong. YUM!

Just simply love it for making biltong!!!

Immediately made some biltong the moment this unit arrived. Results are amazing! This appears to be a commercial quality drying unit capable of much more than drying meat; fruit, tea you name it, it's perfect for the job. Solid and well made it maintains constant drying temperatures while the fan purrs away quietly. No disruption to kitchen life other than the delicious aromas as the produce dries slowly on the countertop. Extremely happy with my purchase, recommend you get one they're great!
