I was hoping I would like this product, but unfortunately I am very disappointed with what I received. Here are two main reasons for the low rating:1) Suction mechanismIt shouldn't be this difficult to attach a holder to a windscreen! Unfortunately the way the holder is designed means that it takes quite a bit of time getting it to attach. What makes it worse is the fact that it is not as secure as you'd hope it would be. Mine fell off a day later. This can't be good for a holder designed to hold an expensive smartphone!2) Very shaky!When the holder is in use whilst driving, the smartphone is not stable (it vibrates a lot even when driving on a smooth road). This would make it impossible to use the smartphone as a satnav!I hope the information I have provided is of use to you.

For the price, the item is unbeatable. Comes with a smooth sticky backed mounting plate (which I didn't need) for use with dimpled dashboards or excessively curved screens. The mount went straight onto the windscreen screen and hasn't moved or fallen off since (1 month ago). Grip appears to be totally rock solid. The suction cup appears to operate on a cam/screw principle rather that a spring and as a result I suspect the suction cup on this item is much more likely to retain the suction that those with springs. The holder has soft foam backing and sides so your phone won't get scratched and angling the holder is easy too.However...Vibration is quite bad (could be the ride on my car or my bad driving). Also the clip securing the phone onto the holder is very very tight with my Galaxy S3. On the plus side this holds it very securely, on the negative side it makes getting the phone into and out of the holder annoyingly fiddly.

Although the product holds the iphone well, it does not stick well to the dashboard even though it is flat. It may be because it is very slightly dimpled and the plate sticks for a while but when in use the weight of the phone gradually 'unsticks the holder from the dash, and on one occasion it came flying off to land on the floor.Overall not that impressed, and the adhesive on it could be stronger, ie stickier.

Is just an OK product. Yes it does fix to the windscreen, but you end up spending at least 10 - 15 mins just trying to get it to stay on the windscreen..Poorly designed suction mechanism..Dont even think about this of you are after a clean dashboard fixing...Does test your patience....I even wasted money on a next day delivery as I needed somwthing quite quickly..!!!!!!!

Fitted in to my 1950 ford prefect hot rod it does what it says and held the phone but the only issue is it will slip back into the stor position if you don't do up the hinge crew tight .

..or lack of it. It could be a great product as the rest of it is sound but the suction mount just isn't good enough, usually falling off within a few minutes. There is no way I would trust it to hold my phone. I shall be getting busy with some sticky velcro later on achieve the result I want.

this product is fantastic very easy to use and not too complicated, i did not find myself fiddling around with this,over the years i have been through many car kits and has always been a disaster every time, either the pieces broke off beacuase it was not well built or just fall off the window screen when the car heats up, and the arms were too long and made positioning very awkward most of the time, it kept on hovering making me dizzy..to say the least.but this product i would recommend to anyone who has been through similar problem to mine.i like the robustness and how multifunctional it is, and the biggest win win test for me is, you can leave it on your dashboard without preying eyes watching because it looks like a DRINKS HOLDER..
