A must
Simple but genius design. Fits almost any lens and stays secure. No more losing caps or dealing with mismatched sizes. Durable and easy to use. Great solution for photographers.

Good lens “caps”
I have only had 2 of these for a coupl weeks, so my review is based only on a brief window of experience. The caps seem to work well - they stay on well and seem to create a good seal. They are flimsier than I expected, but they are doing the job so far. Easy on and off. I am not going to drop a lens on purpose to see how well it protects from a fall, so I cannot speak to that. I feel secure with it so far - time will tell. I gave it a “4” on durability because I don’t know yet how these will hold up. Happy so far.

Great product, just what I needed

Works great until it doesn't (3 year review)
I loved these lens caps for three years. Worked perfectly as soon as I got them, super convenient. Offers adequate protection (obviously it isn't hard so if you want maximum lens protection you need a real cap). I used these very lightly. At this point in my life I only pull out the SLR a few times a year. I keep my gear in cond clean condition. I would say these have only been lightly used. Always stored good, not exposed to temperature extremes or other conditions. But here I am on vacation and I go to re-cap (on a hike, have taken it on and off a half dozen times during the hike thus far) and it just rips right down the side. The edge doesn't show any signs of wear or breakdown. There isn't any apparent induced damage either. I like the product and would recommend it-until it broke. Now the rule with photography is that you always carry extra. And these are lightweight and very packable so I would recommend carrying a spare if your still going to buy this. UPDATE: After I got home from my trip I was curious and looked up their warranty. Much kudos to them it is lifetime and all I paid was shipping for a replacement. It's been a rollercoaster ride with the review from loving them, to being disappointed and now impressed with a company that stands by a product (even though it's been replaced by a newer version). I'll likely be buying more of their product now.

If you want a funny cap, this is it! Or, read more ...
This is advertised as a universal lens cap. Yes, almost. The maker of this thing forgot to tell you the dimension of this thing. I measured this cap and found that the diameter and height are 6.5cm and 5.5cm respectively. If your lens diameter is huge with a diameter close to 10cm, then this cap only has about 1cm height when you wrap it onto your lens. If your lens diameter is small enough such as some of those 50mm f/1.8 normal lens, then you could be in big trouble. The first image is a Nikon AF-D 50mm f/1.8, which is smaller than the cap. You do not even have to stretch the cap and the lens simply goes in smoothly (second image). In this case, because the lens can easily go in and out of the cap, what is the supposed "protection"? Moreover, it is not water-proof as shown in one of the maker's video (i.e., the lens with this cap going into water). Rolling the lens with cap on ground as the video shows is a joke because the lens will come out from the cap and dusts go in to the cap easily. Now let us use a larger diameter lens, a Nikon AF-S 24-140mm 1:4G ED VR. The filter size is 77mm and the diameter is larger than 80mm for sure. The 3rd image shows the lens and cap and the 4th one shows the result of wrapping the cap onto the lens. Now look at the 5th image and you will notice that the cap leaves many small gaps between the cap and the lens zoom ring, and, as a result, water and dust can go in easily. In my opinion, that "fit 99% of DSLR Lenses" is a joke. From what I wrote above, for smaller lenses this cap is an open-end pouch and for those larger diameters lenses this cap is incapable of staying in place as the collar would be way too short. I don't know how the seller came up with this 99% number. So, IMO, the best fit lenses may be those with a filter size between 62mm to 77mm. Third, the thickness of this cap is less than 2mm and the material is some sort of soft plastic. I can easily flip the cap inside-outside as shown in the 6th image. Because it is not made from hard material, the protection of the front glass surface is VERY VERY questionable. The 7th image shows that a screw driver is placed on the top of this cap, and just a little force would push the cap in making contact with the front glass surface. What if a strong force hits the front of this cap? I gather the cap could absorb some force due to its soft material, but the front glass will be damaged for sure. Fourth, the material used to make his cap can suck all kind of dusts, fibers, etc. on its surface, and it is rather difficult to remove. This can be seen in all the images included in this review. I took these caps out for just a few minutes and put them on table and/or ground. The inner surface of this cap seems to be a little better but still a dust sucker. A good lens cap should not bring dusts and fibers to the lens. Well, this cap simply does the opposite. In conclusion, the videos shown on the web is not real and should be considered a fake advertisement because (1) the cap could not perform the most fundamental work -- protecting the lens, and (2) the seller failed to reveal the dimension so that if your lens has a not so compatible size you may end up buying this cap as a waste. If you really like this type of lens cap, I would suggest that you visit Lens Cap's site and find a Hoodie that has the right size for your lens. The Lens Coat Hoodie has a hard front to protect the front glass of your precious lens. If you can accept the Hoodies, avoid this cap at all cost. In fact, the Hoodies may be cheaper for certain sizes. DISCLAIMER: I am not an employee of Lens Coat nor working for a competitor of the maker of this cap. I just happen to have many larger diameter lenses each of which is fit with a Lens Coat Hoodie. So, I bought two universal caps to test with some medium size lenses.

Great protection for your cameras & lenses if they don't have a lens cap!
I recently got a new Panasonic HC-VX3 camcorder, and installed a UV filter and the lens hood. However this setup does not have a 'lens cap' to protect the UV filter from anything in the camera bag. I saw this KUVRD - Universal Lens Cap, Version 1 and according to my measurements, this would fit over the lens hood. The lens cap arrived, and it was very soft rubber that made it easy to put on and take off my camcorder. I've read others' reviews about the durability of this lens cap, and as it has a lifetime warranty, I'm not overly concerned about it ripping in the future. For me, this was a great purchase to protect my gear. 5 stars for a product that simply works!

DETAIL REVIEW - EDITED FROM THREE STARS to TWO
Camera Set-Up: A7R3 + 16-35mm GMaster + 82mm thread Tiffen VND The idea was amazing, but after using it for a month long trip in Vietnam, Japan, Laos, and China, its not that user friendly. My main camera set up is quite big and this lens cap can't wrap around the whole lens with the VND. Maybe it can, I didn't want to force it because it was overstretching and a hassle to pull the whole cover over the lens. It is easy to take off than putting it on, traditional lens cap can be clipped on using one hand, this will require both your hands and probably have to place your camera down facing up. EDIT: I was going use these to protect my lenses when they're inside my backpack or luggage , but it already ripped a hole. I've only taken it ON/OFF like 10x max and it was mostly on my 55mm lens. Another thing I realized the X or + logo at the center of the cap I got is WHITE instead of BLUE like the one shown in pictures. Solution: I went with the PolarPro's Hard Rubber Lens Cap, it is also quite expensive but I find it much easier to use and does the job a lot better, BUT STILL WONT FIT THE 82 THREAD Tiffen VND

Great for adventure photographers and people on the go
I heard about the KUVRD ULC on Instagram after a friend of mine purchased it. She hyped it up a lot, and I hesitated to buy it because I was worried it was just another one of those things that's new and exciting but doesn't live up to the expectations. I work as a photographer and trip leader for an outdoor adventure program for college students. I need all of my gear to be durable, lightweight, and trustworthy--and I never invest if i'm not sure something fits all of those criteria. However, I'm going on a month long bike tour this summer and, as I've grown tired of my plastic cap cracking, falling off, collecting dirt, and always getting lost in my bag, I decided to go ahead and buy the ULC. Y'all, the KUVRD ULC lives up to the hype. I was honestly suprised when I used it for the first time. Online, it says it fits 60-120mm (I think), so I was a little worried it wouldn't fit my 24-70mm f/2.8. Thankfully, it fit like a glove. Not only does it fit the lens, but it also fits the back side, so that you get full coverage/protection. My two most-used lens / my camera are: Nikon D750 24-70mm f/2.8 50mm f/1.4 The ULC fits both of lenses perfectly. Like Ron Swanson, I only recommend products I 100% believe in. And I 100% recommend this product. I included a video of the cap on my 24-70mm so you can see the fit.

Poor quality
Poor fit and doesn’t serve EVen regular lens - it is too small and does not withstand shocks or serve as weather /water proof. Waste of money
