A timeless classic well presented.
A great story from one of the undeniable greats. Treasure Island is one of the original pirate tales, including Long John Silver and “Ho, Ho, Ho, and a Bottle of Rum!” It was written for young adults, but even after reading it the third time over a 45-year period, I still enjoyed it. It is very well written, with fantastic characters and glorious descriptive prose. Remembering that this is a novel targeting young adults—boys mostly—anyone who might give Robert Louis Stevenson less than 5 stars for this book should take a hard, long look in the mirror. This version, complete with graphics and sketches by N. C. Wyeth, is well laid out, and the sketches are wonderful and scale nicely with the Kindle or tablet. If you want an inexpensive version of this classic for yourself or whomever, I highly recommend it.

Adventurous
Dreams of sailing on the Hispaniola to Treasure Island probably captured the minds of those of all ages when this book was first released and there is no wonder why. I feel as though I have been on a long trip, a voyage to somewhere far away and I have only just returned with more enjoyment of the things I do now, most likely, than before I had ventured upon the ten seas. Although some very few ideas in this reading are archaic and offensive, looking at them in that light one can still appreciate all the rest that there is to offer in this adventurous and well written work. As they say they call them the classics, reading these is an education that will not soon be lost.

Full of action
I discussed this in a book club but read it as if I were one of my young grandsons. I’m excited for them to read the book too.

Recommended Version
The book arrived in great condition. It was the recommended version for my daughters class and it seems like it is age appropriate too.

The stars prequel was better
Disappointed in the lack of detail but then this is generally a young adult book.

A Classic Adventure from the 1880s
This novel was a favorite of mine as a child; we were blessed to own an edition with colorized N.C. Wyeth prints. This edition’s prints are black-and-white. (If you visit Chadds Ford PA, be sure to visit Brandywine Museum of Art and The N.C. Wyeth House & Studio to see his splendid artwork, in addition to other great works.)

Interesting
I am familiar with this story and wanted to read the original. Some words or sentences were hard to understand. Still it is always an interesting book.
