Great mower for the money. Wear hearing protection even though it's relatively quiet.
Quick review. Arrived in mftr's box ONLY. Shame on Amazon. But luckily, nothing was damaged. I opened the box, assembled it w/o too much effort (all but one thing was just common sense). It looks great, is fairly light weight and pushing it w/o self-propulsion is easy thanks to said light weight AND large wheels. It works great. Battery actually lasted long enough to cut a large backyard with some to spare. Didn't have to charge it but I pushed most of it instead of self-propelled mode. It cuts fine. auto adjusts when the grass gets thicker and you can adj the speed of pulling and there's a turbo button as well. I set it to med speed and pushed it. The only gripe I have is the height setting doesn't go high enough. But other than that, so far so good. Very well made, imo. LOUDNESS: since the company refuses to publish the actual SPL of the thing, I took the liberty to measure it with my dB meter. Loudness measured from handle to motor in stationary mode is A-weighted: 79.0 dB and C-weighted: 85.4 dB (give or take a few decimals). SEE PICS FOR PROOF and wear hearing protection while using this! That's all, folks!

Best lawnmower ever
Makes Mowing a Breeze I absolutely love this lawnmower. The self-propelled feature makes mowing a breeze, and it has plenty of power without having to mess with gas, oil, or pulling a cord. The battery life has been excellent โ I can get through my lawn with plenty of battery left. It also does a great job mulching. The clippings are chopped up so well you can barely even see them. Easy to use, powerful, quiet, and great battery life. One of the best lawnmowers Iโve owned. Highly recommend!

Very happy!
I just rec'd this yesterday after my trusty 25 year old gas mower died over the weekend. Assembly was incredibly simple (just attach and adjust the handle), and the battery arrived partially charged. Seeing how my lawn was slightly overgrown and the forecast called for many days of rain, I immediately used it even though the grass was slightly wet from an earlier rain shower. I have been hesitant to buy a battery-powered mower because I have a very thick, St. Augustine lawn & living in the Florida heat I usually mow early in the morning, often when the grass is still wet with dew - I was impressed with how well this moved right through the grass, cutting evenly & not bogging down in deeper areas, especially since it wasn't dry. In fact, it did a better job than my gas mower. I will definitely be investing in an extra battery (off-brands are widely available and much cheaper), as it ran out before I was completely finished, but it also wasn't fully charged when I started as I was racing against rain. I did have to use the self-propelled feature throughout the entire mow since my lawn is so thick, so I'm sure that uses up more battery power. Also, there's a bit of a learning curve when it comes to powering it on & making turns without accidentally turning the entire mower off, but after a few minutes I got the hang of it. This happens to be much louder than some other electric mowers that I've seen my neighbors using, but it's still not quite as loud as gas. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase! I won't miss filling gas cans, changing oil, or the smell of gas...just crossing my fingers that it lasts!

Not bad
There's a bit of a learning curve, lol. Don't wait til you have to turn to practice that. To back up, you have to release self-propel levers, give a slight push forward, then go backward. I don't like that. Battery didn't last as long as advertised, but maybe that's my grass. Battery charges FAST, which is great. Self-propel feature works great, and is adjustable. It's not fast or slow, that's nice. It seems to have some power. I have a 0.66 acre double lot on a corner, so big yard. This is easier on me than the 60V push mower, but my shoulders and biceps are pretty sore after cutting about a third of yard. Not as quiet as my other one, but still far better than gas. It was super easy to put together. I'm a 58 year old female, average physical shape.

We love our 80v Greenworks tools!
This mower arrived well packaged and was easy to assemble. We have a Greenworks chainsaw and blower that uses the same 80v battery, so we wanted a mower that used the same. This mower is the first walk behind mower we've had in over 30 years, and the first self propelled. The mower powers up our very hilly yard with ease. With the speed set at the Turtle, it's easy to keep up with it. It cuts well. The ergonomics are great. My wife and I both have used the mower and find the position of the handle to be good for us, without any adjustments. I like how the mower folds up to take up less space in the garage. It seems very sturdy. I like that it comes with a bagger attachment, can be side discharge, or mulching mode, like what we use. Great mower.

Quiet, easy to use and reliable
This is my third Greenworks lawnmower, and they just keep getting better. I should probably mention that I replaced the first two for technological improvements, and not because they failed to work. This mower has a self-propel feature that is much more attractive to me now that I am older, but it has the same intuitive operation as my previous mowers. It is simple to understand, simple to operate, and a lot quieter than a gas mower. That means I can use this mower early in the morning or later in the evening without having to worry about complaints from the neighbors. In fact, my neighbors tell me they can't hear the mower at all, even when I am using it just a few feet from their windows. That's a huge plus when your neighbors' houses are very close to your property line. And not having to deal with gas cans and motor oil is a big plus, too. I mentioned the self-propel feature - I disengage that when I am approaching a flower bed or fencing, just to make sure the mower doesn't get away from me. I'm not really sure that's necessary, but it does give me a little peace of mind, and the ability to switch back and forth between self-propel and manual in an instant is another really nice feature. Because this is an electric mower, it's not only quiet, but it starts instantly, too. No more pulling cords and hoping the engine will catch. The batteries recharge quickly, and they hold a charge well - I charged my batteries at the end of last summer, stored them in an unheated outdoor cabinet all winter, and 6 months later they were all still fully charged and ready to go. I have a large yard, so I keep at least 3 batteries - I use one, put it on the charger, use a second, and by the time that one needs to be replaced, the first one is fully charged. It's not necessary to keep multiple batteries, but it saves me enough time to make it worth the investment. As for the value, this mower costs about twice as much as an entry-level gas mower, but it is well worth the price. It's more reliable, more environmentally friendly, easier to use and it never runs out of gas. I am Team Greenworks for live.

This is a great mower!
I never expected to write a 5 star review for this mower, but alas here it is! My old Toro gas mower died 2 weeks ago and I ordered this 80v Greenworks model because it appeared to have more power than the (2) 40v. to go up hills, and yes indeed it does! It came overnight, so I was able to finish the mowing from the day before. Setup was a breeze with only a few parts to assemble, it was ready to go in about 20 minutes. The self propel on full power (yes, it's adjustable if you want to go slower or on flat land) worked just as good as my old Toro, you can see the steep backyard in the photo. I am also very pleased with the battery time. For my yard, it takes about 20 minutes to do and it used just 1/4 of the battery. So I used it a second time without charging it and it used another 1/4 battery. For those who mentioned that you have to pause if you want to walk backward with it, you're correct but I think I've figured out that if you simply lift the back wheels a tiny bit, it disengages the self-propel more immediately to go back without any tension. I like that the unit is a pretty heavy steel, I was afraid it would be more flimsy but it's very sturdy. The blade cut perfectly too, a nice even cut after a simple adjustment that raises or lowers all the wheels easily. This is a perfect fit for me, I can only hope it lasts 15 years like my old Toro.

Worth the money
Great mower! The cut is clean and the mower is easy to push. I have 1/3 of an acre and get most of it cut with one battery charge. Turbo fetched is great too!

Exactly What I Needed.
As advertised. I have trouble manually pushing a lawn mower so having the โself propelโ feature was a must. It has several height options that are easy to adjust. Easy to use. VERY fast on the fastest setting so start on the slowest setting. Powerful and does exactly what I needed it to do, takes half the time to mow the lawn now. Would highly recommend, especially for those who have issues manually pushing a lawn mower. :)

It works great. It was everything I wanted in a mower and more.

pulling it backwards is complicated
The issue where you cannot immediately pull it backwards after stopping forward movement is 100% an engineering screwup. You have to give it a little shove forward by yourself after it comes to a stop to move it forward a couple inches, in order to unlock the drive wheels. Or release the drive trigger and allow the mower to roll forward quite a ways.......Stupid design ... My 91 year old Mom will have a very hard time adjusting to this, she probably may never quite get there....and that's who I bought it for. Apart from that its OK and the height adjustment is very easy to operate which was great.
