It may, but I wouldn't use it on any dog that I might have, since it's for leather. There are dog shampoos available that will gently help to remove the dogs smell, that's what they're supposed to do. Hope we've helped.

You say your jacket is "high dollar", I'm not sure-if it is actually LEATHER-this stuff kicks butt in renewing, bringing back the luster and making things look new again!!!!!!!! It works wonders on my saddles and bridles, so if it is actually leather, and not some sort of expensive imitaion, it will work.
